Your shots are incredible, I was wondering if you thought of using some stock bluegrass music for these areas to suit the environment culturally? I think it would help tell the audience exactly where you are. I have seen your other works in Carroll County - you really know how to show off the beauty of our towns! Excellent drone work!

Thank you for the kind words. I’m delighted when I get show off the natural splendor of our region. As to your suggestion about using local music (truly local, as in local artists), I am open to that, provided the musical selection has little to no sung lyrics and the artists are willing to give me the right to use their work for video shorts like those on this channel.

Your incorrect spelling of common words and total lack of punctuation makes your supposition concerning Hillsville appear an intellectually unsound one. That’s not to say your comment isn’t how you genuinely feel about the small town, only that the confidence readers place in your opinion being a worthwhile one to consider will be low due to it being poorly written.

@@BlueDino07 Thank you for your comment. In fairness, I didn’t think of Hillsville in a much different light than you described, as “Hillsville, just a place to go to school,” and definitely not how is feel or think about the town and surrounding county now. I love watching the videos and reading the comments about galax. My brother and I were both born and raised in tennessee but ALL of our family is from galax. We've spent our whole lives going back and forth. Mom and dad were both raised in galax. As members of our family pass away, they all go home to galax for their buriels. We still travel back and forth but it seems not as usual as we once did. My brother and I always call galax home because that's all we've ever heard it called. I adore the place and when my time comes, I too will be taken to Crooked Creek along with all of my kin. Great video. Made me super homesick.

Beautiful video. The Gorge is actually in Fayetteville. Summersville is about 20 minutes away. Come see it on Bridge Day in October when the state invites base jumpers to show off their skills from the middle of the New River Gorge Bridge.
@LUXaerialfilms4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Tracie. We’d love to return in Oct for the event! If you happen to know an official Bridge Day organizer, please contact us at our email address with the information. LUX has the required FAA credentials for commercial drone use in the US, but there will likely be local temporary restrictions on the day in question. As such, local officials will likely need to be contacted for special permission prior to flight. As to the location, the maps we’ve seen lists the Gorge Bridge as part of the Summerville area, but if Summerville is a deal larger than Fayetteville and close by, then it’s possibly listed it as such for easier location referencing. Whatever the case, we’ll make sure such location information is correct in the future. Thank you for you comment and for watching. Please share and subscribe, we need the support. Stay well.

Tropical rainforests have the largest number of tree species (biodiversity). What do you mean by widest biodiversity in trees? Also who gave you that fact?
@LUXaerialfilms5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your interest! “Tropical rainforests” is a broad term that’s used to describe any number of geographical regions which fall under specific conditions. I stated that the Amazon (a particular rainforest) doesn’t boast the widest diversity of tree species, because it doesn’t. That isn’t meant to minimize anyone’s notion of the Amazon (because I love the Amazon myself and have been there several times, mostly in the region surrounding Iquitos, Peru), but instead my intention was to cause viewers to think by offering a little known, but true, fact about the Blue Ridge Mountains region of the US - that it is indeed the most arboristically diverse region on the planet. Even if the number of individual trees in a particular region was the metric, the Amazon still wouldn’t have 1st ranking, but it would likely go to the tundras of the northern hemisphere. Where the Amazon would rank #1 is in the sheer amount of biomass of living creatures - there it wins, hands down.

Thank you, Sparkaroundtown for the kind words and for subscribing also. All the ground scenes were shot using a LUMIX GH5 in combination with a Ronin SC. Some of the midday scenes required a polarizing filter, I use variable one made by Tiffen. The arial footage was captured using a Mavic 2 Pro. Editing, I used the Neat Video plugin within Final Cut Pro on a 5k iMac to reduce a noisy scene or two, but the greater amount of editing and color grading happened in LumaFusion on an iPad Pro. Also, the area scenes were shot using DJI’s d-log-m format and graded using LUTs created by SpectrumGrades.com.
