I'm going on 9 years post stroke. It's gotten a lot harder for me in the past few years especially since I moved to another state, I have to rely on myself more to get things done. Best advice, except that some days will be harder than others, Pace yourself and plan things out, don't give yourself to much to do in one day, Prioritize Sleep and try to get 10 hours of sleep every night. More sleep is necessary for stroke recovery. Here's some info that might better explain Post Stroke Fatigue; www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3263555/ This info here on sleep might help you realize how vitaly important it is for everybody kzbin.info/aero/PLmstweMnsfa90oUgKC8NshXC5Xsw0Ridv&si=LwJPalBN_BRwgTNe

Wow! I'm a current PT student about to go into my first acute care rotation, and I would love nothing more than to follow this guy around for several weeks and learn as much as I could from him. Love the patient-centered focus and thorough assessment.

Is this Treadmill result good for a 46-year-old man and for serving as a private in an army? During the 2nd stage after 2:36 minutes, the speed of 2.5 mph, an incline angle of 12 degrees, the blood pressure reached 205/87 mm Hg, a heart rate of 155 bpm.

I have stress and anxiety and panic attacks and i am focused too much and obssesed on my breathing and because of it i either hold it or it is too shallow or i breath too fast or i inhale lots and exhale less since days i thought my lungs have a problem i went to the hospital they checked me my lungs are ok now i train myself to relearn how to breathe properly hope i manage to overcome this

After my first panic attack years ago I started to breath manually most of the time instead of automatically. It's very exhausting when you contantly feel like you need to control your breathing.

Yes he is right but also I think one's emotional faculty is altered by th injury and controlling iris a near impossible. I got a stroke some 3 months ago and I still cry not necessarily of what I have lost but for unexplained reason. For example, a while ago I just told my son to take care of himself and I busted into crying. Very embarrassing

I was diagnosed a couple years ago. Kids, if you are listening, this is a very expensive and difficult disease. Life expectancy is 12-15 years on average. Because you don't get enough oxygen, you are tired all the time. You don't go out, you don't have friends over, you cook what is easiest if at all. And when it is time to let go? You basically suffocate to death. So, kids, do NOT smoke anything, stay active, breathe fresh air whilst your toes are naked in the grass, and dammit hug a tree. All of these help. Please let your future be better than mine.

@@nayanikanath8949 Rare to get this and a nonsmoker. Seems quite unfair to me, and I am sorry! Strength and health to you as well. Recently found out I am allergic to the medicines they give, so I am using mullein and thyme to help with symptoms. I gather the stuff from my garden and make a tea out of them. It seems almost better than the medicine. My GP and Pulmonologist are playing ask your mother, ask your father in this so I have given up on both of them. It isn't worth the hassle or the expense, in my opinion, and the outcome is the same right?
