Rare to everywhere other than USA, from feedback in the comments. Oh nice... another option that you will pretty much never see outside of USA on the RX7. Are you form USA by any chance? The luxury options were heaps more popular over there. Thanks for watching!

Shocked how inexpensive some of these options are to buy today as used or NOS. BMW comrades know all too well the cost of buying any cool period after market or rare factory extras. No $200 century curtains or parking poles.

As someone who has a weak spot for simple, tossable, hatchbacks. The M13 sparked interest. I know the original Micra is pretty light as they are, so i'm wildly guessing the M13 wouldn't be considered anywhere near ''heavy'' either. Would also like to know how light or heavy they were compared to a regular Micra though.

I sat in a white rx-7 turbo with the speaker option in 1997. One of the gimmicks in the 90s was push, pull, or drag sale. My family just happened to have a Chrysler k-car that had a leaking head. It would accelerate gingerly up to 60 mph while hissing. It could barely maintain that top speed and would overheat if pushed. My mom drove to the dealership and asked for the guarantee of $2k for any car that could make it to the lot. The salesman was offering a new 1998 model b2300 with no a/c, manual transmission, manual windows, and steel wheels. She accepted the deal. When we entered the dealership we saw a white 1997 older model that was well optioned. She inquired about it and was told that it was the last one on the lot. I walked over to look at it and saw that the price was $12800. She asked to take that one and after the agreement the price was $11700. While the salesman worked on the paperwork I walked over to the RX7 sitting next to it, looked around it, and then sat inside. It had tan leather interior and the Bose sound system. You could see the speakers through the rear window with the sound wave plastics... The asking price was $37000 with a steep discount because of the vehicle being used for demonstration purposes.

Back to my standard comment of commenting on gold wheels. Man those Tommy Kaira gold rims are gorgeous!! Also the reason for offset pedals to seat, is probably due to the size of the transmission or them trying to shoe horn other stuff in. These are a couple of reasons this design happens. There may be a better explanation or another reason in this case. For example If you look at the shape of the ZZ, the rear is wider and has the side pods to get air in. Perhaps they designed the front to be narrower so the side pods could get better unrestricted airflow. If this is the case that would probably be favoured over having the pedals in line with the driver.
@JDMArchives6 күн бұрын
Yeh that’s a really good point. Good pick up with the side pods, I should have pointed that out in the video, they look great

Those are still the same mirrors and lights as on my NA MX5 (though that style of headlight was used on a lot of cars, including Land Rovers). Also the seats in the ZZ would be angled because you're quite far forward in a mid-engined car so the chassis tapers in towards the front to make room for the wheels/suspension/wishbones/etc. The Lancia Stratos is a famous example of this.

So, for the orientation of the TommyKaira front tow hook, it looks to be set up to be swappable. Effectively youre seeing it in a stowed position, and when its needed, you would unbolt it and rotate 180 degrees. I'd imagine this is done so that it isnt protruding to clear parking lot inclines, speed bumps, etc and then can be deployed quickly for track days which require a hard-mounted tow hook.

These snow chains are surely a weird option for a sports car but you generally use them on ice and ice is flat, ground clearance doesnt really matter (when it snows, snow trucks go through the roads to remove snow but ice can still be on them). They grip better than tires do because they bite into it rather than slide but idk, I hear that chains mounted like that can slip. I also don't live in such climate by the Polish sea up north but in Polish mountains on the south these are always a good thing to have. It's better to have them than not, calling a tow truck is costly and annoying and these can pull you out of troublr. It's basically something like a battery jump starter. You generally don't need them but you can later regret not having them. Though I daily an eg6 now, I used to drive my mk2 vw jetta all the time which is slammed to the ground. I would drive it through the snow and stuff in winter (it snows for a week maybe now but still). There are always some ice patches. One time the light turned green and I would just wheelspin in place even though I had snow tires, I spinned so much the light has already turned red. I think I solved it by using just the clutch
@boargarage959013 күн бұрын
Generally I don't write that much but I like your content and well, its easy to see that you like quirky stuff. In Poland jdm is huge but more like in its tuning style and drifting, e36 bmw though not jdm, are really often modified in such way, I know many people with cars such as these with these decals and stuff. If you havent seen such cars then you will have fun lol. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXiUoZ6bodeDY6Msi=qh2rvzpkoJ0efppV kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXiUoZ6bodeDY6Msi=qh2rvzpkoJ0efppV
