This is the "Trojan Horse" from ancient history refers to the legendary tale from Greek mythology. According to the myth, during the Trojan War, the Greeks constructed a giant wooden horse and left it outside the gates of the city of Troy as a supposed offering. rolli suffered a mental breakdown and murdered his entire family (and probably others) and is hallucinating rita as a way to cope. • he's 14 yet lives totally alone with his sole companion being his neighbour rita. there's not a single adult in sight. • he obviously has or had a mother at one point because he's mimicking what she would say (telling him to get dressed) and we see pictures of his grandmother and father too but never actually see them in person. • has a picture of his sister and brother in his house but then says he has no siblings. • also claims to have pets (hamster, fish, dog, cat) that are nowhere in sight. did he kill them too or were they hallucinations like rita? • constantly hears disembodied voices speaking to him (the "narrator" and radio speaking directly to him) • we see no other people at the beach despite all of the umbrellas and towels set up. actually, we never even SEE anyone besides rita, not in the apartment complex, on the streets, at the funhouse... we only HEAR their voices, but it all sounds like the same guy. was anyone ever there to begin with? or did he kill everyone already? • items constantly moving on their own--the piano, the bowling pins, the trumpet sounding like a gun or explosion. • whenever faced with something that scares him (or more realistically, challenges his delusions) he instantly runs away, just like he's constantly running away from the cops. • "ich bin allein" he truly is. • in the song segments, rolli is capable of more movements. he can bend his arms whereas rita can't. (he can also twist his neck violently 360° but that's besides the point) rita's limitations in her movements are characteristic of the limits of his hallucinations. • zisha (sp?) the snake was actually a bomb, when he was giving it the "math equation" he was actually inputting the code to set off the bomb. finally, rita sends him to the top of a construction site where reality finally sets in-- there is no rita, he's alone, he killed everyone. it was his conscience bringing him there and trying to make him see the truth. being racked with guilt and knowing the cops are closing in on him, he sees no other way out so he jumps.

for those of you wondering about the whole Rolli sibling thing, the theory Ive seen is that his parents are divorced. He lives with his mom, his sister lives with his dad, and his brother lives alone. Doesnt explain the lack of pets though.
