Great series! It would be great if it had English subtitles. LOL! Scottish accents are challenging for me. So, I watch the ones with the Spanish subtitles and it helps me understand it a little better.

So the subtitles have to be in “big bold yellow” letters?! Doesn’t distract from the show at all - sarcasm! I’m thankful for the show, but at the same time the words are almost in the middle of the screen. 🤔

Finally, due to your good help, I managed to see this Episode. Shetland is a quite different crime series. The solitude of almost empty islands and beaches, helps to individualize those who comit crime as much as those who suffer the effects. Greetings from Cascais, Portugal.

The folk music, dance, and customs seem to me far more Irish than Scottish.

I love that British shows pick best actors to play rolls not the most handsome/prettiest. Not to say the cast is not attractive they are but so many US shows have pretty faces with no ability to act or totally bland personas.

I never watched this drama first time round, I was always in the pub. I started watching the latest series 5 out of curiosity because of a love of Scotland, and have been hooked straight away on this wonderful TV show. Thank you for uploading these old episodes :)
