Love the name!! James Bond! You got some spectacular views from the gondola and patio area!! Reminds me of Banff, Canada. We went on a gondola 🚠 there too, and the views were equally majestic. Awesome video. I’ll pass on the suspension wire!!

Another fabulous day in Switzerland. Great that you tell us all how to get to this awesome place as it does sound a bit complicated. Fascinating though with all the different modes of transport.and those views from the gondola are stunning. Not really a fan of James Bond though I guess everyone has heard of the films and it adds a new dimension to the day though those views alone would have been enough for me 😎😊 Oh gosh it gets better and better haha 😀 The thrill walk looks erm .. fun but good you get to go along the "extra exciting bits" .. or not !! Were people clipped on on that wire walk 🤔 Wow you got on that platform on your own ..brilliant for the 360 but I believe the best views of all came when you did the hike out to the next viewpoint. Absolutely stunning, this place definitely has a big big wow factor, dead jealous. Fab filming 😁😎

Hi Paul, what a pretty place Murren is, the cable car ride had such spectacular views. The views from the first stop were beautiful, I remember watching that James Bond film. The thrill wall was a little scary and the glass walk, I dont think i would have stepped on it or the little wire tunnel. At the top of the 2nd cable car the views were even more amazing. You captured the views very well Paul. Fantastic that the restaurant revolves to get the. most of the views. I enjoyed looking in the museum, a lovely video, take care and have a lovely week x Julie and Tony x

james bond mountain! the spy who loved me is my favorite, followed by live and let die. on her majesty's secret service is mr sl's fav. what about you? those views were spectacular! especially from the thrill walk. i would love to do that walk. you can go into window boxes in the sears tower and look straight down to the street. i think the last time i was there, i took irish friends. would you eat at the revolving restaurant? i took my brother to the james bond exhibit at the science and industry museum. i liked the movie bits and spy world here. but we weren't allowed in any of the vehicles. more people than a hermit might like at this spot. but it's so beautiful, you have to expect it. i like the sitting spots a lot with the shade and such. it's good to see your mug at the viewpoint. i mean ya blocked the incredible views, but it wasn't for long. 😉😂 cheers! 🛴❤

Looking forward to the next adventure. Hope you've had a great day. Matt & Bec 😊❤

The Oeschinensee Lake Panorama Hike in Switzerland is an absolute gem, offering breathtaking alpine views and a pristine turquoise lake nestled among towering peaks. The hike a perfect mix of adventure and serenity, with well maintained trails leading to stunning vantage points. The surrounding mountains on the lake’s surface or enjoying the vibrant wildflowers along the way, this hike is a must for nature lovers and photographers alike. Wow that is gorgeous! I love the color of the lake. The only times I have seen that color were at Glacier National Park and Banff National Park. I love how the cows decided to lay down in the middle of the path. LOL. Nice that they have some refreshment huts along the way. It looks like a busy place to hike, but I certainly understand why with the picturesque beauty of the place. You have perfect weather for that hike. 😊👍

It really was stunning the whole way through. I was going to bookmark my favourite vistas, but there were so many ! One or two places where you had to watch your footing but I'm sure you have coped with worse than this. I'll bet you were determined to get some hiking gear so you didn't miss this day. Loved the sounds of the cow bells ( a favourite) and the rushy streams and the colours of the lake, the countryside and wow those fabulous mountain edges. I'm sure it's a rock climbers dream up there. So relaxing by the lake itself and always amazed that there are refreshment huts ... wonderful. Perfect spot for the Swiss flag ... superb. Looking forward to seeing more of your Swiss trip but surely this has to have been the best day ...brilliant 😎👍

Now you know why I was desperate to get some hiking clobber! Oeschinensee is absolutely stunning. I took so much footage! I had to cut a lot of it so the video wasn't massively long. The path looked a bit dodgy in places but you're right I have been on far worse in my time. On my way back to the cable car I got side tracked by cow bells that didn't make the video cut. I may do a short video of that. We don't get the cow bells in the UK. Oh and plenty of cow bells in future Switzerland videos! You maybe glad to know I sat down in places to just take it all in. I think I even had a 2 course meal and I had a beer (off camera) at the beer garden I filmed near the end. Dare I say it but I have one day that I think tops this day or runs it very, very if not. Then again I had a lot of really fantastic days in Switzerland. I'm glad you enjoyed the captured views from my day at Oeschinensee. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul

Seems your day was roughly as busy as ours, maybe slightly less. To us, this is already way too busy and there are quite a few beautiful hikes in Switzerland that are a lot more hermit friendly. The helicopters are often used in the mountains, to bring in supplies to the huts. Funny enough, they sometimes also transport cows with them, hanging from below. Most often if they died, which makes it less of a fun sight, but also sometimes alive if they injured themselves. One feedback item: You seem to be consistently on wide-angle mode for the gopro. On the pans this causes a lot of distortion which makes me feel dizzy at point. I would recommend sometimes switching to linear, at least when you are panning for a panoramic shot. How far did you go along the Fründschnur? Later on it is supposed to become quite exposed. The parts in the beginning seemed quite fine.
@TheHikingHermit7 күн бұрын
It was pretty busy especially at some of the viewpoints and when getting towards the half way hut. Then again I guess I did mainly do the tourist stuff while in Switzerland with a bit of leg work added in. On this day one helicopter brought in supplies in the morning but one later on was hovering over the dodgy part of the Fründschnur for quite a few minutes. I didn't watch all to see what was happening. On the Fründschnur I only went as far as a viewpoint but could see not far from where I stopped that the path had ropes on the side and the path looked a bit eroded/crumbly! You can see me pass a faded blue/white pole in the video around 15.54. The path was OK but wouldn't want to trip in places! Thanks for the feedback on the wide angle tho it can be difficult to critique you're own video when editing. I know what you mean because I've seen video in super wide angle and that can look super odd. I can actually lens correct in my editing software but then the trick for me is picking when to use and when not 🙂 Oecschinensee was an awesome day out and couldn't have picked better weather. I hope I didn't kill too many places names but rest assured if not I will in future Switzerland videos 😂Thank you very much for watching. BTW if you do manage to get the UK and we go up to the highest point in the UK will be going up by the quiet route but down by the tourist route. A big circular 🙂

@@TheHikingHermit rescues by Rega are also a common sight for us. On almost all alpine hikes we did recently, we witnessed an ongoing rescue. Hiking is easily accessible, so often people just carelessly go on various trails without a care in the world. I personally know people that didn't plan ahead for the weather and ended up getting rescued by Rega as they couldn't cross a stream anymore due to the rising water. In Switzerland, hiking is so readily available that it is easy to not prepare properly. For the names, you actually did quite well. I am waiting for Stoos for the complete butchery :D

@@HikeForHappiness I found hiking in Switzerland at lot easier. You don't really need a map as everything is marked up. I know my capabilities and always pack some Winter gear in my backpack even in Summer! in Scotland I have sometimes needed it in Summer as well! Ah I think I might be butchering a name or 2 in my next video as I get 2 letters the wrong way around 🤣If you come to the UK I'll also be happy to guide you up more than just the highest point in the UK. Glencoe is not far from there so you have to climb some mountains there too 🙂

i am stuck behind my computer right now furiously tippy typing away to catch up on everything i'm behind on. i surprised my best friend for his 50th this weekend and i am buried in tasks. so, what better way to not get them done than to spend 20 minutes hiking in switzerland with you paul. 😆 why didn't you tell those cows to mooooooove? my jokes are the best. and in a surprise to no one, of course your favorite views are the ones without all those other pesky tourists. 😂 but i think i'm going to agree as they were spectacular when you took that other turn. i don't usually use headphones, but i have them on today and it's a different (and still most excellent experience.) it makes for more intense heavy breathing 🤣 but also good water, heli, and cowbell sounds. i have to go there. your episodes are all just so pretty. i'll just have to leave mr sl at the base of the mountains. not only does he not like heights, elevation conditions also aren't his friend. thanks for the break in my day, hope you have a great week! 🛴❤

Oeschinensee was a day to remember and there was quite a bit of climbing involved tho I have done a lot more in a day. I don't hang about and don't take many rests hence the heavy breathing 😂 The hike was quite busy but it is stunning. Getting off the beaten track did help a bit and I think the views from there were better anyway! I had more footage with lots of cow bells but the video was already getting long so I cut them. I might post it as a short. I did have a beer in the beer garden near the end so could leave Mr SL there 🙂I'm glad you enjoyed the captured views from the day. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul

I can hear the cow bells, I wonder if the cows are deaf! ha ha , Good that there is a cafe to stop and rest and have a drink, hope the person who took ill is ok, but it was great to see the helicopter. I'm sure it wasn't easy filming while hiking on the narrow path, some areas seem a bit challenging. It's nice to see the families with their young ones out there too and even older ones hiking up the mountain. Seeing the goat made me smile. The lake and waterfalls - breathtaking!! One cannot be afraid of heights..lol. Thank you for taking us along on another epic hiking adventure! Oechinensee...wow!!

Hi Tracy, this was certainly a day to remember and I was like a kid in a sweet shop! I think the narrow path looks a little more dodgy than it was but I still would not what to have tripped in places 🙂 It can't be too bad if young families are on the trail but you'd certainly need to keep a close watch on them. The goat was funny just sat there watching people go past with not a care in the world. I'd say I have a healthy fear of heights so don't take undue risks. Having said that I did take the start of the dodgy alpine path to that viewpoint. Some people would not go that far as they were a little afraid. Oechinensee certainly is a magical place and what do you know I still have loads to come from Switzerland 🙂I'm glad you enjoyed the captured views from this super day.
