I love this . I do have a suggestion though . You can spend a ton of money on batteries . ( so expensive) You might want to look into solar powered lanterns and chargers . I have several and just keep them in the windows . When we loose power we know just where they are and last several hours . No longer buy batteries except for remotes .

The batteries are mostly used by our kids. We do have some solar lights for emergencies as well.

I no longer have this curriculum on my high school list. I reach out to the publisher and ask for a basic clarification (as fellow homeschool parents were discussing their secular version as not secular) I decided to ask them, well I had a poor short response from the publisher (I’m not sure of your definitions. You all decide.) I re ask my question because I needed a solid respond, they saw my message but decided not to reply. I felt very disappointed because I had recommended their curriculum to fellow homeschoolers (I'm not an affiliated, or anything like that) and to have this response is absolutely not acceptable.

I can't seem to find the credit breakdown on the website. Is it on the individual product pages and i just missed it?
@OneMamaToAnother3 ай бұрын
It's in the FAQ section of the high school LA courses. It says: Each high school language course (1-3) is 1 credit of English Literature, Language, and Composition ½ credit of art history and art instruction ½ credit of geography. These future release courses are 1/2 credit courses: British Literature, American Literature, Creative Writing, and Editing & Writing for College Prep. If you are required to keep track of hours and find your student is going through the course too quickly, add more time reading literature from the course reading challenge, or have the student complete High School Honors Book Studies.

I have been lookking into replacing my old dot matrix printer from 1990 but with all the problems and expense of inkjet and laser printers. I think i will stick with my dot matrix printer. I used to have an inkjet and every other month it was empty and ink was expensive so i threw it out. 10 dollars for a ribbon and it lasts for over a year. You cant go wrong. only down side is I dont have color which i barely used anyway and 5 minutes a page, but you just click print and walk away so its fine.

That looks like a great year for your 12th grader. I think you and your son may really like Oak Meadow, while I'm not familiar with the two courses you chose, my daughter took several of their courses and really enjoyed them. They have very interesting homework assignments and always include extra ideas to pursue further learning. Those two courses in particular look very good and I look forward to your review of them later in the year. The readings selections look good too, I also bought Red Sails to Capri for my daughter after seeing Jenny (from TGATB) give it a great review in her video. Thanks for sharing!
