My problems, it I have lots of pain, and Fatigue problems, so I have no idea if I am able to go to the park until the morning, and I do not know if I am able to do a ride until I get to t he ride and after a ride I may have to go back to my room to recover. So how the old DAS worked woreked for me, this booking days before I do not know if I will be able to get to the parks. (I come for the UK so we normally stay for 2 weeks, I know on the first day, most times I will be in bed, day to I may only be able to go on small, ride and have to do the big rides in the middle of my stay, and the last few days, I need to plan to I will be able to get to the plane, and trip home.)

If your still able to use DAS i would just do that and skip this LL Multi Pass because together they are not needed BUT if DAS is not an option i would consider maybe booking LL Multi Pass just for a few days, maybe skipping a few days in between so you have more rest and more flexibility. Good luck and i hope you have a magical time when you go!

Thanks so much for this. We try the new DAS system next week! Were you able to ride all the rides you wanted using the DAS pass or was it too slow with wait time call backs to ride all the ones you wanted?

Das was enough for us, i think longest wait time was 50 minutes for Remy but during the wait we had other things to do. Other rides were 15-20 minutes. We went to Epcot and AK i did purchase the multi pass and it was a total bust for us. Das saved the day! Multi pass wasn’t needed for AK at all Das was more than enough and in Epcot if it wasn’t for Das my son wouldn’t have gone on Frozen nor Remy...those rides were never available with multi pass. Now this would be a different story if you go say Easter week or Christmas week the wait times will definitely be longer and you might find yourself waiting a long time for rides with just using Das.

We stayed at Animal Kingdom last year and were pool side. Outside pool area. I reached down for my drink and a black snake was slithering along bottom of chaise. Almost lost my mind. Told they are not poisonous and no harm. But very close to getting bit being that I was reaching down and looked like was going to grab snake. Nice video! Enjoy your trip!

Is it even legal for them to ask such private questions about someones disability and for them to be the ones making a decision as to if they qualify for accommodations or not? Are they even doctors making such a decision? What happens if someone with a disability gets denied and then suffers a health crisis at the park? I thought Disney was good at inclusion. I won't go there any time soon, unless i know it would be safe for me to do so, and feel welcomed without having to waste my little energy to justify my needs.

Yes, it’s legal and perfectly ethical. Disney parks already meet and exceed all legal requirements for accommodating disabilities and they’re under no obligation to offer DAS. Not all activities in life are inherently accessible for all people. Bunjee jumping, for example, isn’t safe or realistic for a LOT of people. The same is true for Disney World. Some people just won’t be able to do it, and that’s not Disney’s fault. Their decision to offer the DAS pass system is a perk that they freely CHOOSE to offer to make things more magical and doable for young guests who have developmental challenges that make lines difficult. My son was approved, due to his severe autism and intellectual disability. He’ll never safely go salmon fishing with us or go to college, nor can he do many activities on vacation that his siblings can. This is part of life. No one is forcing people to do a DAS interview - it’s information we willingly and happily provide for our children to be given a HUGE PERK that we’re not automatically entitled to.

Hello! Would you mind sharing with me how the new version of the DAS pass worked for you guys at the parks this time? Were you able to to ride all the rides you wanted with the DAS pass or no? Do you recommend lightening lane still along with DAS or no? We go soon and have DAS.

DAS was perfect, aside from not having the pre-selections before the trip everything was the same. Oh you do have to wait 10 minute after you scan in before you can book a new ride. I will have a full video about lighting lanes multi pass but to be honest don't waste your money it was completely garbage! Aside from what we booked 7 days out we weren’t able to book anything else while in the parks. There was nothing available. If you do purchase the lightning lane multi pass pick your most favorite rides or the most popular ones no matter the order/time because as i mentioned it will not be available once your in the parks. Now if you want to get individual lightning lane for rides that have VQ definitely do that and dont stress about getting into the VQ while there and if you do get a VQ great you can ride it twice. Also there wont be any individual lightning lanes available once in the pack...everything will be sold out. Mind you we went right before thanksgiving so it was pretty quiet. Yes! See what i did was book the silly little rides that my son who uses DAS loves. So for our Epcot day i booked Soarin, Figment and Space Ship Earth I figured we'll stay in the front do these rides before going into the World Showcase and booking Frozen and Remy but to my surprise those rides never became available. Thanks to DAS we were able to get my son on those rides. So yes absolutely i would have booked the same rides for him using only DAS and not wasting over $100. I would have done Soarin as we entered then Nemo, Figment and Space Ship Earth before moving on to Frozen or Remy. I really dont think its worth it and i dont think we'll use it in the future.

Hi! You’re very welcome! There is so much to consider like time of day, time of year, the age of your kids if you have. Ahhhh for MK if you want a roller coaster i would always pick Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Tron otherwise Peter Pan's Flight. Those rides fill up fast and will constantly have a long wait. For HS Slinky Dog Dash or Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and if you do both go with Slinky first as its always busy VERY busy! Hope this helps!

We just got back from four days at Disney staying at the Caribbean beach resort I love the fact that it’s on the Skyliner but it’s a very large resort. The kids enjoy playing in the sand and swimming in the pool the weather was gorgeous. Thank goodness for DAS. My granddaughter had two meltdowns while we were there and without DAS. It probably would’ve been 20. Hope you have a wonderful time. Everything is so beautiful. I even got to see the candlelight processional.

I’m here to offer hope to those parents seeking DAS for their ASD child/adult. I’d been putting off making the call because of the denial stories I’ve been reading . We’ve never done Disney without it, so obviously I was super concerned. When I finally made the call a few days ago, I spoke with the most pleasant cast member. She asked us to tell her what our concerns about the parks were and any past experiences we may have had there. Within 4-5 minutes she understood what my son’s “window of tolerance” was an issued the pass. She completely understood his sensory issues and even stayed on the phone to chat. Easy peasy. I hope all of you with ASD children get the same treatment.

Disney really F’d up on trying to cut abuse. If they really wanted to prevent abuse they should have done what Disney land Paris do and make you show medical professionals of your disability(s) in the form of a doctors letter or some other official document(s).

I got denied today after having DAS for years. Their alternate choices were insulting. I tried to buy my self a Lightning pass but there are none available for my park day 12/14. After 52 years of going to Disney, sadly, this will be my last year and I will spend it in excruciating pain.

I think you can definitely score great deals especially if your flexible. We dont get any other discounts other than what Disney puts out so at times its a bigger savings with DVC.

My son has seizures, takes medicine, and was on the spectrum as a child. The STILL denied him. It was humiliating how they kept asking us to explain his disability and he felt so humiliated I hope Disney gets sued for humiliating children like this. I offered to show doctors information and or his medication so they could look it up.

That was a super long line to meet Daisy, Mickey and Donald but their outfits are so cute. The ice just floating by must have been so strange and beautiful. I would be upset if they didnt head to the glacier especially if that is why you booked the cruise. xx
