Thank you very much for this visit. Two questions: is it possible to eat there because I haven't seen a dining area, and is it possible to take pictures there without any problem? Thanks in advance.
@sennayashorts2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is allowed to take pictures. However, not everyone may want to be in your picture, so the usual courtesy of asking is recommended.
@sennayashorts2 жыл бұрын
There are a number of restaurants, grocery and bakery shops between the train station and the market. No designated food court in the market, but sometimes tea or a snack you can walk with.

Yes, there is a counter with ikons, candles, gold jewelry and books. Many people buy a candle and place it before a special ikon and say a silent prayer.

And it seems they're smart enough to have the really good old tanks inside that indoor area 🙂 can't find current footage of the old tiger 1 that supposedly went there from kubinka.

I'll look for it in the future, that's a good idea to show the indoor displays for another video.

Towards the end of the exhibit people brought their personal items to show and share. Many hands on and educational. There is a high muslim population in Russia, so there is some appreciation for people and customs in the middle east. Some of these folks are active in re-enactments.

Having been there I would concure that the museum is well worth visiting. Even if the standard of preservation of many of the objects is not always of a high or good standard. Perhaps because they are left out in all weathers?

It is an outdoor museum, you can get up close and touch some of the exhibits. Maybe someone can recommend you the indoor highly polished exhibits elsewhere.

Very nice video of those great exhibits. Thanks to you for the video and you tube for recommending the video. Going through I was like wow, then it stepped up and then stepped up again. I love the look of the Russian jets, the edginess, they aren't glinting like you'd see maybe, British or American jets, (no disrespect) all fabulous planes. But those jets look like they in role and ready, just pull the covers off and see what fete brings. A truly world beating exhibition of.........Vehicles of Destruction. 👍 ❤ Peace from England, may it be your pillow at night❤

The music really detracts from the presentation. I believe it would be much better with a non-vocal score. Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, perhaps even Wagner's Götterdämmerung.
@sennayashorts3 жыл бұрын
Well, I spent a long time looking for Russian music from WWII, most of which most have not heard. I think it reflects the moods of the time, struggle, patriotism, love of home and nostalgia for the peaceful times. I, too, love the classics, but bear with me this time :) Just turn down the volume!

Interesting sidenote: My channel is not monetized, but because there are copyrighted songs on this video KZbin monetized it and the proceeds go to the music licensees recognized by KZbin.
