Which Lancashire do you mean though? For me it's the historic county that goes back centuries. Includes, Barrow, Ulverston north of the sands, Blackpool, Burnley, Preston etc Also great cities such as Manchester and Liverpool. Sporting Rugby towns such as Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Widnes. All of these places and more can identify as Lancashire.

I sincerely wish you could actually talk about ALL OF LANCASHIRE, as opposed to just the middle portion of the county and, for some reason, a little bit of Yorkshire (?!). True Lancastrians celebrate Liverpool, St Helens, Southport, Wigan, Warrington, Bolton, Salford, Manchester, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Barrow-in-Furness, Coniston, Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands, Hawkshead etc. Anyone who thinks is these places aren't Lancastrian aren't fit to call themselves Lancastrian in my opinion.

Agree about the warmth! I've lived down south for almost 20 years and people say "you're so friendly". My secret is that I'm not that friendly...its just normal in Lancashire to be warm and friendly! I love Lancashire ❤️ very proud of the hills, coastline and community and I'm back there every couple of months. One downside...not the warmth of the weather! It rains a lot and the winters can be freezing 🥶 But on a warm sunny day it's one of best places on earth 🌎

Pretty pathetic promotional vid from regional tourist agency seemingly happy to grovel to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The vid shows little if anything of the hotel's exterior, immediate surroundings and location, whilst the rest of the footage is taken up with ridiculous visuals of deluxe business-class customer suites that no ordinary family could possibly afford because they're not on an expense account. Don't blame the hotel for doing its best to show itself as the epitome of modern deluxe; blame those who made the video for the sheer laziness in accepting the hotel agenda and doing nothing to add to it. Waste of time and screen space. 'Visit Lancashire' indeed. . .

its such a shame that despite the beautiful countryside, amazing history the towns like colne, nelson, Burnley are rough nasty run down dirty hovels and not at all somewhere you'd want to spend your time.
