Still can’t believe Teddy knew he was working on 3 fake tracks for the Michael album but his excuse was “they already paid me and was hoping to get real tracks eventually”….smh he could have EASILY said to the Estate “I can’t do this, it’s not right, take the money back and find someone else. Even if I have to pay back monthly or sell something, it’s not right.” Then I’d say “and if you continue with the fake tracks I will tell the media.”

Bruno Mars actually credits those on whose shoulders he stands on. Ppl need to first learn about the correct laws before tearg down artists' reputation, and Bruno is actually a BLACK person. I heard a foolish reactor to one of his tunes laughg and sayg "wow, Bruno even has the jerry curls." Dumb as2 in the @#& 21st century!!!! He has naturally curly hair. Lovely interview! First time I heard it. I saw it is "5yrs ago". (Sandra L Blood, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies; Sept 23, 2023).

Say what you wanna, you can't take away the genius of certain people like Bruno, who's been performing since he was three or four, just as Teddy Riley said he did, exposure that early in life to anyone consistently would definitely mold you to be what you're meant to be!!!

I love what they said about Bruno. He does music well, all kinds of music too. Bruno is soooo humble, he gives Black artist their flowers like no one has. He understands the feelings we put in our music. I share his Puerto Rican heritage and also Black heritage. If you go back and listen to some great music like Santana, Joe Battan singing I Wish You Love. You will hear how fantastic the combination of musical influences compliment each other. Im so glad Bruno went to see Babyface. Im so glad Bruno is part of Silk Sonic with Anderson Paak. They are making musical history. Im glad to have lived to see this. Silk Sonic came out of the pandemic! Talk about a Phoenix rising. I hope their is more from Silk Sonic. Love you guys for all the wonderful music you have made and you

The fact that Andre Harrell told Bruno Mars that he should "Go black see babyface and get it out of your system" ??? pretty much told me all I needed to hear imagine someone telling Teddy Riley he should "Go White, go see Clive Davis and get it out of your system" ??? Being black isn't something you can get out of your system, Bruno Mars is an amazing artist , phenomenal voice and performance skills.

Over the last few years, one of America’s brightest young stars, Bruno Mars, has been accused of stealing black culture, a claim I find outlandish. If no one, but black people, can sing R&B, funk, or rap, then the reverse should be true: Audra McDonald can no longer sing opera. Jimmy Allen and Coffey Anderson can no longer sing country. Come on people. We’d be lesser off. Imagine the world without Hall and Oats, Amy Winehouse, or I’m sorry to admit, Eminem. God created everything including soul, R&B, rap, country; black people, white people, Chinese, all things. We are one. Reconize this truth. Music is owned by no one; only the Almighty. Yes, God gave us Bruno Mars. We own nothing.

This was brilliant to listen to. I love when the right voices cheer on the young blood. Recognise what’s important with anyone’s music and see them for who they are. Seeing themselves and the hard yards it takes to really make it in this tough industry. There are so many artists I’ve loved that don’t appear to get the recognition they’re entitled. That’s not ok. But as I’ve heard Bruno say, you just have to keep educating yourself to do it better. To work hard and study your instrument, write songs, they won’t all be good but one day you might just pull off something that everyone wants to party to. He’s a credit to his mom and dad, and his hard work, determination and respect to those he’s followed.

They really need to stop with this appropriation BS. It's just another way to try and divid us all. Bruno has a much soul as ANYONE and deserves to sing what ever type of music he wants to sing and he will always let you know what his musical roots are and they are in R&B. More power to him.

Bruno Mars doesn't owe black people anything.He doesn't owe them an apology, explanation or money.This is racial discrimination against him because of his colour.This culteral appropriation is supported by radical fringe idiots.The hypocrisy is strong with them.And No !Blacks do not get a free pass with this racial discrimination.Racism is racism.Discrimination is discrimination.No matter what colour you are.

Uh, excuse me. He produced half of the tracks on the studio long play, "Dangerous", meaning 7 of the 14. Some would say the others are the ones that are the best. The ones he did were also in collaboration with Michael and he (Riley) only got second credit on all of them.
@lostparlour

Riley is a great producer, but Michael was too, they had a really good chemistry together, so Riley claiming like that was a bit.. well, beneficial for his ego Michael has a very motown and soul root, whilst Riley has a hip hop edge, combining the soul melodies and structures to the metallic modern sonics really is fascinating (i myself not a hip hop fan at all, but i dig Dangerous alot, it is one of my all time favourites actually) What you said was right, half of Dangerous was Riley and Jackson’s collaboration, and I’d say that both contributed significantly to the final product. Jackson often compose the original ideas, and Riley enhance them with his signature beats (though it is different in Remember The Time, a track which started as a drum beats track made by Riley, which Michael loved and started to hum along with it, then they arranged the track and Mike wrote the words). Same for the arrangements, Mike would sings the chords, but as he did not know much music theories, he needed Riley to translate them into instruments, that’s why both has their important role as arrangers for that half of the album. And of course, Michael composed all the melodies and wrote all the words. I myself personally prefer the other side of the record (not trying to put the Riley side down, i love it! It is very original but im not a hip hop fan to begin with). I think Dangerous is truly Michael Jackson’s artisitic peak Have a nice day sir

A side is Riley, but the B side, starting with Black or White was produced by Bill Bottrell and Bruce Swedien. Bottrell did the rock songs and Swedien the ballads, Riley was the more hip hop stuff. They are very distinct.
