If one cares about obtaining maximum image quality, any optical designer will tell you that almost all lenses exhibit their prime image quality at the mid aperture range. I went with the FE 35mm f/1.8 over the 1.4. The value equation on the 1.8 lens is simply better than the 1.4. The 1.4 is obviously a great lens but I only shoot video, I don't pixel peep and as long as the images are pleasing to me and my clients, I'd rather take the money from the difference and buy another lens in a different focal length.

Hey sir , thank you for your great video and details. I was wondering if you could help me out with choosing the right one. I want to use the lens for mostly portrait and cinematic videography. In the list of << Sigma 56mm f1.4 vs. TTartisan 56mm f1.8 vs. Meike 55mm f1.4 vs. Viltrox 56mm f1.8 >> , which one is the ultimate one for me regardless of budget. Appreciate it so much.

Good morning, If I would have to chose one of the three for your purposes I would recommend amzn.to/3C13nTq, the Viltrox. But if it is regardless the money, than I would suggest to go for this one: amzn.to/407HaLB - it is so much better than all the others, especially when you want something cinematic.

The Meike will give you an f1.4 - But you need to decide if you can live with these relatively strong chromatic aberrations on high contrast that are not in focus. Since it can be reduced in post production I think the Meike could be right for you amzn.to/402tEIV

For me it was impossible to combine it with the telephoto lens because of its location. The bracket is too large and would not sit firmly above the telephoto camera. In regards to the weight it is possible to put it on a tripod and to film with this lens, once attached to the regular camera

Hi, great video, thanks for that. Maybe I need already glasses or no idea why I have a different opinion about the image comparison you did... to be very honest, just my humble opinion from the minute 4.38 when comparing with the Sony, I liked much more the picture made with the MFT and that Sigma lens, checking the colors of her left hand in the MFT is much warmer as the one from the Sony which for me is too very pale and the warm color of the left picture is gone in the right picture, just washed out. The picture of the left with the MFT is much warmer and as you said before, it is looking like film, it is what Fuji makes, those great pictures looking real film, I prefered much more the one in the left....think about something, if you make the same comparison but using a M.Zuiko Lens Pro (17 mm Pro f.1.2 one option from so many others pro) as I have seen it in other videos, probably the Sony is put to shame. I say this because I have watched the results of the M1X Camera from Olympus using its pro lens line resulting in spectacular quality pictures with only a 20 MB sensor size. I could understand what you mean but, if you consider, as you already know and said, the small size sensor of the MFT and not using a top notch lens like the M.Zuiko Pro lines, the Sony is absolute the loser, at least for me. Let me say that I do not own any MFT or any Sony Camera but a Fujifilm GFX 100 II. I just watch random videos about lens reviews and cameras reviews as well, it does not matter if I have Sony or Nikon, etc. I found this video randomly and it was nice to watch, you have a great and easy narration and also a great model too. Many greetings from Germany. Thank you very much.
@ParadiseBizz13 күн бұрын
I am a German as well, so we can likely communicate in German language. But I should not jump to conclusions and that's why I will respond in English. First of all I don't think that you need glasses, all videos uploaded to KZbin undergo certain processing and are not shown in 100% the original quality. Secondly, art is always in the eye of the viewer. And your personal preference is 100% justified. When I have the images side by side next to me on my PC and I zoom in 100% then I have to say that - although the colors might be more appealing on the micro four thirds camera - the Sony sensor gives me simply more details and I find this very appealing. Now of course those images were unedited and in post-production you can do so much altering these pictures. This was just a comparison straight out of the camera. I'm glad you like my video. And I really hope that you will come back to watch more and to feel encouraged to reach out again so we can have more conversations I wish you a Happy New Year

I tested both Viltrox and TTArtisan on my Fuji X-T4, and I was blown away by TTArtisan’s optical performance. The f/1.8 aperture still creates creamy bokeh, and the autofocus feels as reliable as the Viltrox in good light. What stands out for me is the detail in the mid-tones and the edge-to-edge clarity when I stop down to f/4. Plus, it feels much sturdier in hand with its all-metal build. I can’t believe it’s this affordable!
