This lens has no stabilization built in. For video you would use the in body stabilization of your camera or operate it with a gimbal

I was looking between this and 7Tartisan 50mm f1.8 for my old Sony A7 mark 1 body. But it is so difficult to find any vidoe reviewing it. There are only like 4-5 video about this lens, your is the 5th I found so far. But in the end I decided to get Meike instead of 7artisan because it is cheaper(a bit) and picture quality overall is better(at least when I compare between the video I found) better flare and CA control. I got mine for 112$(on shpppee 6/6 sale) I wish there more vidoe about this lens and would be nice if anyone could make a video compare between this and 7artisan one. Also when you use this lens, does it keep opening and closing apature blade when u adjust to f2-f16? On my old Sony A7 mark1 body it kept doing that when I adjust to f2-f16 the blade wont close but when I focu IT the blade close down to what I adjust to adn when I let the shutter button go it opens again.

I think ordering the Meike 50mm f1.8 was a good choice, you'll be happy. The aperture blades stay as you select your aperture number in the camera menu - until you select a different aperture. Thanks, for watching my review, Dirk

Im using sony a7ii for video. In term of AF continous (afc) speed, which one is faster, Sony fe 50mm f1.8 or this lens? I've been using this sony lens for quite long and realized this lens has poor af. I do hope this one is better. Any ideas?

i bought the 55mm f1.8 and then sell it then buy the 50mm f1.8 with same image quality but half the price
