Thank so much Tommy❤🙏 But I think your cameraman was not trained for lesson shots.. He needs to stay and fix his cam showing the front view til the end. oh c’mon…

"Cuz I've done it a lot" (5:11) Tommy makes a quick, deft adjustment to his B string without a pause. That takes a lot of playing!! An excellent lesson, thank you!

Indeed, I described this earlier: Tommy teaching you a song is like Jesus teaching you to walk on water. It just can't be done by mortals.

Lighthouse(Calum Graham) Love I hate to see you cry Watching the tears roll down your face I wish that there was something I could say to stop the rain from falling So I can see you smile once again When the wind's been stolen from your sails And your strength's been swallowed by the sea And the current's so strong and you can't hold on any longer You can find some comfort in me When the rain falls from the skies And the dark lines fill your eyes I will be the lighthouse in your storm I'll be the light That shines through the night To guide you home And as you try and hold it all together The worn side is tearing you apart They say a heart doesn't know love til it's been broken open It's how the light can shine through the dark When the rain falls from the skies And the dark lines fill your eyes I will be the lighthouse in your storm I'll be the light That shines through the night To guide you home When the rain falls from the skies And the dark lines fill your eyes I will be the lighthouse in your storm I'll be the light That shines through the night To guide you home - you home -you home I will be the lighthouse in your storm I'll be the light That shines through the night To guide you home...

This song is a master piece of melody against chords. Certain combination of chord changes can actually be emotional because of the beautiful sound that is produced between two chords and strings a bunch of those consecutively together. Tommy is the benchmark of this style of guitar playing. Everyone enjoys Tommy’s musical ability, but other musicians and more specifically guitar players have a special appreciation for what he does because of the difficulty. One of the common traits that accomplished guitar players have is that they started playing guitar shortly after they started to walk.

Glad to have this video since it's Tommy himself, but holy shit these are the worst camera angles in the history of guitar lessons. It infuriates me every time I watch it. Why is the camera way up at the headstock, shooting down the neck so that you can't see his fingertips at any point in the lesson? Personally, I think a straight up beginner is better served learning the basic chord shapes from the ~400k view 12 year old video thats on YT first, then using this once they are comfortable with every chord, to add the nuance of the right hand.
