Great, easy to follow tutorial for a low budget terrain alternative! I have a couple of things for you to try as well, maybe you'll find them useful. If you peel apart corrugated cardboard, you will end up with a very cool ribbed texture. I used it in a Mesa cliff face for example Another hack I just discovered is using the Japanese momigami (my spelling might be off) technique to turn paper... or lunch bags😂, into very pliable, thin, "fabric" that you can put in the glue/water mix and then drape just like tissue paper. It's sturdy and allows you to cover large areas smoothly. Thanks again for a great video! Peace & Love from La Paz Mexico

Hi love your videos ❤ KitbashCarnage hear at the age of 31 iv recently got back into the warhammer/kitbashing community agen after taking 15year brake to pay bills and so on . I have taken the leap head on and started a youtube channel along with Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. It's hard with this algorithm thing is somthing to get used to along with editing and so on but my love and the flame for my lost passion has been reignited more then ever and dont plan on stopping soon . Along with having lots of content plans and already in the pipeline and also a Revamp to all social media with new header picture and profile picture from a digital contractor I sorced I hope to just gain more traction to the community iv came back to 🔥 Regards KitbashCarnage

Nice build! If I would copy it, a dark wash (black or brown) after the dry brushing stages would be a game changer. Giving you more shadows and depth. After that I would probably pick out highlights again with one last dry brush. That would be only two additional steps with very little knowlegde or skill required, but for big effect. Another tip: Add some bits or other leftover small stuff to your terrain pieces. A wall torch next to the entrance, a sword leaning against a wall, maybe a skull or a shield in the corner. This will tie your buildings and your miniatures together, and even open up possibilities for some story telling (who lived/fought/died in that tower?).

Thank you! Those are all great tips and definitely things I will be incorporating in the future! I’m actually working on a much larger castle right now that will later be incorporated into a larger terrain piece with a mine entrance below!

Thank you so much! Of course! Materials: 1/4 inch foam board 1 Inch XPS Foam Light green course flocking (for fine moss detail) Evergreen Craft Moss (for vines) Yellow/Green static grass Acrylic paints Hot glue Masking tape Tools: Utility knife Low Hot glue gun Brass wire brush Paint brushes Makeup brush (for dry brushing) Note: if I were to remake this I would use the sponge painting technique of the red and yellow undercoat and the over brush my greys on top of that and I would use more washes! You can also join our discord server ( discord.gg/RXgUnVVE ) where we are building a community of terrain builders and painters if you would like to share your progress and get tips and tricks along the way!
