I live in greensville county virginia and we love to pick up points but most of my old spots have either been sold or grown over so hunting spots are getting harder to find

Stopped watching for a sec just to say YOU MADE MY DAY! Just moved to Central Virginia 3? months ago. I’ve only found one point over a year ago in Iowa on a riverbank. It’s broken but it looks evenly worked. I have been so proud of that one little fined because a big part of my life experience has taught me not to trust people…so often I doubt the point hunting videos are real. I always try to fight it and remind myself that mostly, people are good and after all, the broken one I found in Iowa is a pretty sure thing. Now!!! During my 1st week living here in central Virginia, I walked around my apartment grounds, focused on all the beautiful quarts and colors of stones in the red clay. I decided to allow hope to flourish, and I began looking for points. It wasn’t long and there it was! Broken, yes, with no neck… But the point is perfect! The working is obvious, and the edges are razor sharp! I held it up to every other piece of quartz I could find and it is different than all of them. In my best ability to note, it is definitely worked. Then I showed it to a local person who is also new at hunting, but she has been studying the real things that her daughter has found. She said what I found is definitely a point! I didn’t know they could be made from quartz, especially white quartz . Now that I see your video, and all these quarts points that you were finding… I feel so validated! I feel like, maybe I really have learned a bit how to identify artifacts! Thank you so so much for this video. I’m not gonna let people make me feel like I’m just a dreamer chasing things that aren’t real anymore. ❤

You need to turn your gate about 90 degrees so the screws are level.and it will allow you when you close the gate with out making a mess.

Great video. Gearing up for squirrel season here in NC. Love that you post your hits and misses. Squirrel hunting isn’t easy and too many videos just focus on the good shots. We’re not all “snipers” right 😅. Great work. God is good. Keep it up.

We sift everything. Ever find any fossils in your area? I believe that first rock you found is a hammer stone.. the next find after the rock could be a preform.. was the material quartz?

I been bringing this up lately I'm new to this and only been watching videos lately. Everything seems to be determined as thousands of years old idk I guess it doesnt make since to me that guns and metal arrow heads were so prevalent and widely used that were still shoulnt be plent of arrowheads just 200-300 years ago. Idk

Arrows and bows weren't a technology used by native Americans until roughly about 1500 to 1000 years ago. The ones older are dart tips that were attached to long shafts called atlatl. You can find small triangular points that are actual arrow heads. Smelting metal was time consuming but rocks are easy to find and shape.

Store your super frames wet. Wax moths hate honey. It traps and kills them. You just need to keep the bees out of them.

The VA Arrowhead groups are notorious for dismissing really amazing artifacts as 'just rocks.' The large one is definitely a point, and a great one at that. Your property is interesting that it has all the different ages of materials on it. Must have been prime dwelling territory for a very long time. Have enjoyed these videos and am ready for it to cool off to get hunting. Cheers from Powhatan!

The banks are pretty steep so if I was going to dig I'd look carefully for fire burnt and cracked fire rocks. If you find any concentrations of burnt rock in my mind it makes me think it indicates a camp. Or maybe somebody just stopped for lunch.

Not just a rock, probably one of two things. A slotted seed planter or a slotted gouge I am going with the seed planter. Find these types of tools in N.E. Ga. Mississippian culture. It is my experience that not a lot of work was put into farming tools, they were subject to a lot of wear and breaking in a relative short period of time.
