sounds much better than the digital organs of johannus
@DandyDon1Ай бұрын
Some of the selections from this record are on the "25 Years of Johannus" CD. At the time when I was given a copy by the factory at NAMM many years ago, I didn't realize which models were analog instruments. I have another vinyl album published of several models from a later product line. It sounds much different than this instrument. I have no idea how many discrete audio channels the Opus 130 had, or the technology(s) used. The factory support site doesn't have scans of the service schematics posted, and I haven't asked. This model was manufactured and recorded in the old Johannus factory, under different ownership. As a side note, there were dealerships which weren't crazy about Rodgers when their digital product line was first introduced.

Does this physical Leslie built-in or is it an electronic Leslie simulator? Line apps that you would send to another system include the Leslie simulator or is it a straight, nan Leslie sound?
@DandyDon14 ай бұрын
The 935 utilizes a digital Leslie circuit. It has an 11 pin output which you can connect the Leslie 812/814 multichannel cabinets. There is also a subwoofer output and stereo output connections.

Why does the performance not match the video ?
@DandyDon110 ай бұрын
I believe it was a production mistake. I think a single camera was used for the various angles. When everything was laid down, I think the audio track was placed in first and then the video segments were pasted in. If each segment had been videoed with multiple cameras (which of course increases production cost) from start to finish everything would be in as Benny Hill would say "syncopation". :o) I originally tried to match up the video to the audio track when transferring it from the DVD, however the audio/video timing kept changing. The video has so many hits now that I would lose them all if I tried to modify it further.

In adulthood G.S. (upper left corner) became ill a few years ago and it was found he has a mass in his abdomen. The surgery was estimated at $8000, with no guarantees. He was put to sleep in February of 2020. In February of this year (2023) his sister was diagnosed with Irritable Bowl Disease. She was placed on a special diet and given anti-nausea medication. She survived a couple more months, but became increasingly ill at the end of the second month. Not wanting her to suffer any more it was time to let her go. I still have Rosebud (lower left) and her brother Sunshine. Rosebud developed a hyperactive Thyroid. She is on medication twice a day and has been doing very well. Sunshine is just plain grumpy at times and tries to rule the roost.

There are various digital chronobells out there but I’m not aware which one to get for green hill/emerald hill career center service which it is part of person center services and penta career center but university or local community collage and schools 🏫 I was gonna order from Maas Rowe for the clock tower with full cycle colors and such with atlas and toa and unipex horn speakers.

Why are you so fixated on the TOA brand? TOA only has a 5 year warranty on their electronics. The amplifier systems which Maas-Rowe uses has an 8 year warranty. The Chronobell and Digital Chronobell (I, III, III) are Registered Trademarks of Maas-Rowe Carillons. The current Maas-Rowe Carillon product is the Bellwether which is a touch screen system. *Maas-Rowe Carillons Bellwether* kzbin.info/www/bejne/anWnlpuQh7dmodU *Bellwether, Connecting Drawer Cables* kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKmziKuvfa2jgdU *The Maas-Rowe Bellwether Countertop 19" Rack System* kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6q7YqCQaJxgi8k

1,101 views and you're the only one complaining. It's not about the video content, only the music. There could be problems with your internet connection or KZbin intermittency. That being said, if you want to hear this music so badly, you could buy a copy of the original. eBay is one a good source, Discogs is another.

those are real bells its chime rods just like a mechanical clock just hooked to p/a system speakers
@DandyDon13 жыл бұрын
Not exactly. The bell rods which Maas-Rowe refers to as "tiny bells" are made from cast bell metal, and have bent ends. Indentations are ground by hand in the bell metal to produce additional partials and/or "harmonics". Two examples here: *2:00** Maas Rowe Westminster Chime + Console View w/ Peal - Grace Lutheran Church - San Diego, CA* kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3-kmZh9odqSZsU *Maas-Rowe carillon: Close-up of the chimes inside the California Tower at Balboa Park in San Diego* kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWS3n52ClNOJsJI Which is why they sound very different from plain cut rods.

Way back in 1967 when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, I was the accompanist at the Miss Tennessee pageant at the age of 14 in Jackson Tennessee. My musical Mentor who was 11 years older was the real accompanist and I was the assistant I guess you would say. We had an Orchestra, but I played the organ along with the orchestra in case they dropped out or something. Since Baldwin was a sponsor, the organ we used was the spinet version of YOUR organ. The pageant was held in a college football stadium. We had two of those beautiful Home Furniture styled tone cabinets on huge platforms on each side of the stage, four total tone cabinets. So I was playing the organ console with gorgeous sound coming from four big tone cabinets in an outdoor stadium. What a treat. Unfortunately, I should have paid more attention and I should have made audio recordings . That was the best organ performance setup I have had. My mentor bought the organ and owned it for several years in his home, minus the tone cabinets. I always thought it was one of the prettiest sounding organs of that era.

Cincinnati Music Hall commissioned a Waveform organ in 1974 and the price tag was $100,000, about half a million in today's money. These really were premium instruments.
@bretonabbondanzio83094 жыл бұрын
The technology in these instruments is incredible considering that they were produced nearly 50 years ago (although the intonation on the diapasons is a bit lacklustre - but the 32' reed used in the Widor piece at the end of this video makes up for that!). They must have been as sonically impressive in the 70s as Marshall and Ogletree's organs were 30 years later. Not surprising considering both the Waveform used and Marshall and Ogletree uses state of the art, high-end technology. Apparently the Waveform started at $50,000 in the early 70s; with inflation that would be about $300,000, which could get you a smaller Marshall and Ogletree nowadays. I wonder if anyone ever made a digital recording of one of these that could be put side by side with a comparable modern organ.
