I enjoyed this a lot. I have be working with some meditational music that would reinforce this life style. If you have an older dog watch him for a couple of hours. Now you get the idea. 🙃

One of the most motivational videos ever watched in KZbin (and it's full of them!). I took note of many deep inspiring reflections which definitely help me on this "fighting against what most people seem to seek everyday". Thanks a lot, superb

I think that slow living is normal living and that’s how it should be and not the constant stress of rushing which is not normal. We work too much and don’t live enough… slow living should be called normal living! Thank you for your video. I just subscribed! Cheers from Canada… hoping to live somewhere for a while in a Europe’s country.

Not so sure that slowing down is needed as much as single-tasking. Studies show that people who multitask believe they do a lot of work, whereas data shows the opposite. Focus on one single important thing in your life, and delete the rest.

I think Jesus practised slow living. He took the time, and he mentioned this when he spoke to Mary and Martha.

I don’t know if I would call how I try to live my life “slow living.” I’m more inclined to call it “deliberate living.” I find myself feeling like I’m on the downslope of my life (I just turned 60 in February), so time seems more precious and important. I have many artistic pursuits that I indulge in (abstract art, homemade music creation, writing, etc.), and I travel the world with my lovely wife. But whatever I do, I try not to squander the time I have left too frivolously.

Really excited to see an emphasis on improving what games mean - not only does it shake off bad history, but it will lead to better games in a larger design space.

Many people are tired of this super ultra mega productive mindset, it is awful! We are destroying the planet and our minds. I moved my family to a small city, work from home and avoid presure without meaning.

I haven't worked for over 5 years (health reasons) I haven't driven a car for 12 years minimum. I am an avid reader, draw every day, and live in rural Virginia. I have no social media. if I go any slower I will be going backward😂😂. Thanks for the video I never heard of slow living before but I'm pretty close to doing it without knowing it. I enjoy sitting by a window and just watching nature in silence. Have a great day everyone. ❤❤❤

Oh jeez. I mean, yeah it's good to live life at a more intentional pace for sure but do we really need to formalize things like this? It strikes me personally as a weird thing. Sometime life requires me to speed things up and sometimes that's ok and even fun. Sometimes I want to be very intentional and slow things down. I'm not going to force any of that. Same goes for these lifestyle trends. I used to live in a bigger place were I could have more junk laying around. It had it's advantages for sure. Now I live in a smaller space and it requires me to be more 'minimal'. It also has it's advantages as I spend less time cleaning and such but sometimes I miss being able to rifle trough stuff to find something. Swings and roundabouts. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think it's very helpful to fret too much about what kind of lifestyle you are living. Expect things to not always go your way, treasure the moments were it does and take care of yourself without being too rigid about things. But that's just me and I'm aware that for many people it's different.

Is slow living, procrastination?

I think it's a privileged way of thinking to even consider living this way. When you are living paycheck to paycheck in debt, working 2-3 jobs, leaving your house at 7am and not getting home til 8-9pm, then try finding time to sit around reading your Kindle and deciding to take it slow. If you have a job that allows for flexible working, and you have a house and a calm environment, and safety and security, then yes, sure, you can find time to take a walk in nature, or to just sit with your none stressed out thoughts. But in reality, it's impossible for most.
