Very well put! As a yoga/mindfulness teacher and professional musician, I can honestly say: yes, the twain shall meet! It's not easy, but in addition to actually practicing your instrument, mindful breathing is among the best kind of practicing you can do. Thanks for the helpful video; I hope more people follow your advice.

The QC interface seriously needs to label the icons. It’s 2025… do we really need to memorize 100+ icons??? Not ideal….

Very useful 😂 i been usiing the main volume at like 45%. Its one of the first runs made and the original owner had all the outputs maxed out. I can see why he was eager to sell it. The sound was so so. What a huge difference. Thank you for posting this

The thing I like about these is that they look like a classic Fender amp. I hope they bring out a tweed one :) Your miked up sound is a lot darker but I’m thinking it might be brighter if you mic it from a distance so that you can capture the tweeter.

can i just say, you cannot mic an fr cab like that. there are multiple speakers in an frfr speaker system, and you only have the 10" driver tone here. A room mic would be better. Still, have one, I'm very happy with it. also run headrush 108's, but as monitors for PA live gigs. Very happy with the fenders fr10's

I too have been using the quad for 2 years playing mostly country, theres a lot I wish was better but the size and function winning out over others... Can i check out your patches on the cloud?

i just sent back my 3rd replacement and when it comes back i'm giving up and selling it. i tried but no serious gigging musician can or should rely on just ONE of these to work reliably. For people or larger bands with enough money to have multiple backup QC's just in case the sound and feel is great but for normal everyday working musicians these are incredibly unreliable and are not worth the headaches.

I haven’t had any issues since the first time, but it’s pretty crazy that you got 3 in a row that were garbage. What issues were you having? What are you using now for a modeler?

The ongoing development of this device really is the weak link. There's so much potential there, such a great UI and amazing sounds. Helix is now so massively outdated in terms of hardware but it remains relevant because they're constantly updating it with useful features and awesome new devices. The most frustrating bit with QC is that they could make very large useability gains without having to add new amps or anything like that. Just button press flexibility, more EQ block options and additional EQ options for capture blocks would solve so many people's problems.

Excellent review! It's great to hear from a pro who has lived extensively with the pedal. I have been contemplating getting a QC for a while, and hearing your experience with it answered a lot of questions for me. I am currently using Tonex as my pedal platform, and running drive/mod pedals around it, so hearing how you integrated outboard pedals was especially helpful! Sounds like it will work for me.

Actually you can buy third party packs for Fractal. Your thoughts on the QC mirror mine. I’ve had mine since day one and haven’t missed tube amps or my other modellers since.
@MRxr4003 ай бұрын
when you consider these type cabs, think of them more as a PA style active speaker system, which are never open/closed back as an option like normal guitar amp cabs. i really like the extra option of eq on the fender as opposed to a normal frfr set up like the headrush 108, which i have, and now use for all fold back situations as they sound really good.

I have an outboard looper pedal I use a utility block on. I haven’t figured out how to get my looper playback to feed a separate out from my guitar lead WITHOUT running guitar lead back through the looper. The goal is a completely separate rhythm guitar track from solo track going to the venue board.

Is there a way to monitor level in and out of individual blocks? I'm not clipping in or out, but it sounds like something is clipping in the signal chain.

Yes, using it with a cable would mean you just bought a 500 dollar tuner…..waste.
