What information can be derived from antibody screening of ABO blood group
@BloodTalks3 ай бұрын
The information is used for safe transfusion. If we transfer wrong blood type, the patient could die in minutes. Antibody screen helps prevent transfusion reactions.

Hi I have a question, when transfer blood via a transfer device (from a syringe) to a blue top for PT/INR…the vial is filled with blood but it accidentally has a lot of bubbles floating on the top of the vial. Would you accept it after the bubbles settle down or you prefer a new sample? Thanks!!!

Acquire B is usually seen in a patient with GI issues such as colorectal malignancy, gastrointestinal obstruction, or gram-negative sepsis (where those bacteria can contact the RBCs). E. Coli is one of them. Luckily this condition is reversible when the patient's main health issues are taken care of.

Can you please help me, I am O RhD positive and produce Anti-E, how does this occur?
@BloodTalks6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Your blood type has nothing to do with you having anti-E or not. The ABO blood group is different from the Rh blood group. E is part of the Rh blood group. Since E is not a naturally occurring antibody, you had to be exposed to it in the past. There are a couple of ways you can exposed to E antigens such as blood transfusion, pregnancy if you are a female, or needle sharing.
