So he says he was left on the street with no money to feed his family yet then spent money on a flight to Vegas and stayed at MGM Grand.

Maybe Elvis fired all three to get rid of Dave. It’s strange the other two had been there for many years but Dave only 2, that the three had been reportedly bullying fans and others. Dave chose to go confront EP while armed, that was not right at all. Dave seemingly has the egotistical idea that he deserves to be famous because he worked for Elvis. It is easy to imagine his job went to his head and Red and Sonny got caught up in it because those two guys had been with Elvis a long time without issues like mistreating fans etc. In my humble opinion: Dave was a bad influence on Red and Sonny and maybe others, he could have been stirring up strife among Elvis’ Staff and Vernon, Elvis and The Colonel decided to let them go to weed out Dave H. It’s a thought anyway.

A Great point Mr Hubler makes that I didn’t think about at the time was that the publishers got to pick and choose what they wanted for sensationalism

The book drove Elvis over the edge. He always respected his fans and always wanted them to think highly of him. This book was written in anger and spitefulness just in the fact of him pointing his finger at you shows you hit a nerve

Elvis is being used by many so called friends n secret lover secret daughter many many others that we do not know of to make money off his name. This guy was not even a long time Body Guard of Elvis n here he is talking about Elvis as if he had grown up knowing Elvis intimately. Even in death Elvis's name is being denigrated or should say "money making" income for all these people. Absolutely disgusting.

Bitter old Man to this day isn’t he? He knows his name wouldn’t be a foot note in history without Elvis. They stabbed our king in the back and to this day is selling pics with “Him” and Elvis?? Give me a break? Yea that’s what I want as a 50 yr old lifelong elvis fan, a Dave Hebler signed pic? No thanks. I do have couple signed Billy smith photos, one with him and his wife they both signed that as well. They were real friends to Elvis from start to finish and are still defending elvis to this very day in every video they do. That’s admirable, this guy is shameful and obviously full of himself, thinking he’s something he’s not..You can see his anger in this video almost 50 years later he’s still angry, that’s all I need to see. Red and Sonny I can somewhat understand, they spent their lives with Elvis this guy was in the fold for 3 yrs or so and had the nerve to track elvis down like he was gonna do something? Every video I’ve seen of him he rubs me wrong way..I see why Elvis fired this man.

Elvis should have fired Dave again for stalking him halfway across the country and showing up to confront him with a gun. Elvis made the right decision. Dave was lucky to have that job and nothing stopped him from going and getting a mall cop security job which was probably more in line with his actual qualifications. What a putz!!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

My mom, sister, girlfriend (now my wife of 50 years) and I saw Elvis all three times he was in Ft Worth and once in Dallas. Your tour brings back many good memories especially since my mom, a huge Elvis fan, passed away over 20 years ago. People talk about how charismatic he was but being there when he came on stage was electric, even for us men who wondered "Why can't I be like him?". Keep up the good work guys. Glad I found your channel.

Dave and his buds wrote the book cause they were pissed off about what happened to them....period They dimed his PERSONAL intimate life for all to trash, they were lucky to be part of his world. Screw all of em. They worked for EP Enterprise....and one can get fired at any time.

Why is he so defensive ? He can deny all he wants, there was some part payback some part making money. He said to help Elvis to stop the drugs. That’s like telling someone overweight name calling, to goat them into stopping. That’s like telling is going to make that person go even deeper. Now we know very few people can just stop without help. If they were friends and family u don’t air your dirty laundry.

He talks about his story in the book about the lady but previously said None of their stories were in the book. Not one!" He also refers to his "act" which is only because of Elvis. He doesn't appreciate his time with Elvis. If we get fired we go look for another job but he didn't! He refers to helping Elvis by telling about the drug use but he did NOT help during his years with Elvis! Not a honest man!

Recommend a new book that's out...Elvis born to die young...it gets into Elvis's family history and how alot of his health issues came from his family history....heck his mother died of heart issues in her 40s...so did alot of others on that side of the family...not gotten my hands on it yet to read the whole thing...but the author seems nice and treats the subject ( Elvis) with respect....yes Elvis took ALOT of drugs. But there was reasons for him needing medication other than just getting messed up....sure that becomes a part of it at times. But he had health issues where medication was needed! Also didn't have the medical knowledge back then to know all these things!

Hebler isn't a villain in the story of Elvis Presley. Hebler shone on light on a dark side of Elvis Presley' life. Hebler cared enough to risk his friendship, employment to try stop Elvis receiving prescription medication from doctors who didn't care about Presley. Hebler's book was a betrayal of Elvis and the bodyguard's reality of the life they shared together. Red West told Elvis Presley in a recorded phone call not to worry about the book because it contained 99 percent about the good times they shared together. Elvis Presley acknowledged, near the end of his life, he was taking too much medication and was going to take a year or more to get clean. If Elvis had lived, he would have rekindled his friendship with Hebler, Red and Sonny West, as he knew deep in his heart they did what they did out of love for him. Hebler may be very brash, defensive as he feels betrayed by the publisher of the book by taking his words and twisting them into something he never thought would happen. Hebler also feels many Elvis Presley fans hear his message as they're blinded by love of the king and the love blinds them to the truth of his human failings. In sum, don't hate the message or the messenger for "all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God". I will leave final judgement to Jesus Christ on Elvis Presley and his bodyguard's book.

They ( Bodyguards) might have been "screwed" by the publisher..but they screwed Elvis! Elvis bought homes, cars ect..for them! They got to travel and live in luxury through Elvis. This clown says he sells pictures of himself with Elvis in the picture! So this clown thinks they're paying because he's in the pic!? Most ppl that surrounded Elvis used him. Yes, he was addicted to drugs...he was in his 40's overweight, singing the same songs, not being able to travel out of the states due to his manager! Too sick to have to keep touring in that condition! But these clowns are mad that their gravey train ended! If Elvis couldn't bring in money to pay all the hanger on's...then of course he had to let them go! For this clown to be upset that it was Vernon that had to fire them..well Welcome to the real world. You as a employee don't decide how they choose to let you go.

What is there to clear up? Elvis was fed drugs daily. Everyone knew including his dad. No one did anything. What about lisa his daughter. There's so many musicians died from drugs. Michael Jackson is another one. Doctors killed him just like Elvis. The interview guy is trying to make money off of Elvis. Has been for 48 years.

It would have been nice if they’d made a movie of this event with an actor that resembled Elvis, instead of the truly buttugly dude that they used. I refuse to watch it because of that insult
