The percussion section in my class weren’t very serious and rarely got into the music we played. But MAN they pulled it together whenever we played this song

I would like to do this piece but do not have any French horns. Are there any parts where the horns are the only section playing?

Playing the flute part on this. The polyrhythms are super difficult haha. Thanks for the recording, I’m practicing with it.

The first song that actually made me double mallet as a Vibraphonist :3 (well, I mean, it was high school, I was a 'percussionist' technically... but yeah)

I play timpani for this song, and it's so confusing because the tempo changes so much, so it's really easy to get lost and lose count of your rests.

Notes for those playing it now for a concert, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these, I'm making these notes for me more than anyone else (posting them in case it helpd anyone!) and I don't have the score. - During the drum break: The first "Hey!" is 117. The second "Hey! is 4 before 148, where the flutes come in. (4:30) - Entering afterwards (basically with the same part) is, in order, 1. Flutes (4:35) 2. Alto saxophones (flutes still backing) 4:46 3. Baritones/Euphoniums 4:57 4. Trumpets 5:05 5. Flutes again (saxophones and possibly clarinets as backing?) 5:12 From there it's up to you to count, since I don't believe there are any long sets of rests afterwards for most folks? Happy playing! Hope this is a fun concert :)

It was the most fun song for percussionists, we all got to play a new instrument. Our director also bought new darbukas and djembes so we had the latest stuff. I got the djembe but I played the darbuka part.

Played this piece back in middle school! Us clarinets had this inside joke that we used up until we went to high school, where whenever we'd listen to a song for the first time, and a hard-sounding part came up, we would always say "I bet this part is on measure 102", in reference to that dreaded clarinet part at around 3:08 in the video. It was a really fun piece to play, in all honesty, and I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again!
