Pressing Shift+A doesn't bring up that same Add Menu so I can't select Empty (I only see to add a new Mesh/shape). Is there another way to reach the Empty option?
@whitepointernet180812 күн бұрын
Make sure you're in object mode when you are trying to select an Empty in the Add menu. ;)

do you know of a way to use a typical image with the plane method without getting pinching at the poles? obviously with a equirectangular texture its not an issue. Ive tried finding ways to make a non equirectangular image equirectangular but no luck

Cool. I don't have any of those options. I can see face orientation but I cannot get the GUI to appear to show normals. I do not know how people use this software.

Blender makes changes to the ui over the years, its a small headache at first but eventually it becomes easy, dont give up... try and find a more up to date tutorial that will match the version you using or as close to the version you using

Struggled making rope as I forgot how. Didn't plan on opening my project on my day off, but damn I hate that rope I made lmao. Also wrapping it around the object like planned, though manually doing it to give it that slight variation.

Its not copy, its link material. My objects have few material, link just do bugs, not copy. I copy manually but need assign places, i dunno how i can copy assing places too (my objects a similar)
@FunwithBlender2 ай бұрын
thats because you need to make it its own isntance their after like i did so that it is independent after linking it

Is it possible to do a repeating texture that is parsed for each face of a sphere? I have a sphere with a relatively low amount of faces, and want to put little light orbs around it like you see in the TARDIS in Doctor Who.
@FunwithBlender3 ай бұрын
The answer is yes, you just got to align the first one and then make sure it is set to repeat, but you iften better off using a single texture
@kenzietownsend66443 ай бұрын
I noticed the shadow maps differently between point and spot. Like it treats every light source like a point light. Its not a bad thing and I'm sure it will work for what most of make anyways.

Thanks alot. In this video You showed how to change the face orientation, but do You know if it is possible to have the orientation of a face on both sides the same? That means that the face will be blue or red on both of its sides, would this kind of thing be possible? Thanks for help

so, when I'm doing any animation loop (1-2 sec at max) do I set the two frames in the beginning and in the end(like you had), and only after that do I add additional frames in-between?
@FunwithBlender3 ай бұрын
you want to make sure you got enough frames per second and this can range from 12 frames all the way to 120 frames per second, 24 frames is usually more than fine. Meaning you need 48 frames and you want the start and end frame to be so close that it can loop so the last frame is one frame off from the first frame....all the frame sin between are all the wacky stuff you decide to do
