I made a trip from Virginia Beach Va to Beaverton Oregon. Thanks to you guys you helped me prepare properly and k ow what to expect. I ran into a lot of snow in the mountains and they even shut some roads down lol. I’ll do the drive again some day but definitely in the summer lol.

I charged at 110V for the first 5 or 6 months on my Model Y. Worked just fine for city commuting. I eventually installed a 14-50, but only so the car could sleep more at night. Every minute charging it's running the coolant pump for the battery and electronics. Figured less wear for those few items 😅 But it's also nice to come home after a trip at 5-10% and be able to charge it full overnight if needed.

i really don’t like it. IMO it makes a nice, premiumish interior look cheap and chinese-y if you get what i mean. it covers the nice leather and metal center console with plastic that feels cheap. especially the seats.
@vegasteslafamily17 сағат бұрын
@@bransonpage1114 feeling is different and cheaper for sure. But if you want the white look, it’s the trade off. Seats are actually nice material

Would you mind providing the total time spent queuing/charging at the charging stations? Continuous software updates? Is it that bugged, or do they push new DLCs to the games that people play when charging? ############################
@vegasteslafamily19 сағат бұрын
Ah charging depends, that would be hard. And software updates fix bugs sometimes, but they mostly add features and enhance the ease of use

About 100-150 depending on charge. We got close to 200 on that downhill stretch I believe

It’s still so funny to me that on a road trip, you actually have to plan out where to charge your car. Like, nah, that’s too much work for me. My wagon? I fill it up, and boom-almost 1,000 miles without a second thought. The only time I think about gas is when my car’s like, ‘Hey buddy, maybe hit up a station soon.’ Anyway, cool video though!
@vegasteslafamily3 күн бұрын
If you watched more than 30 second into the video you’d see the car plans everything itself. No thought required. Thanks though!

According to Elon Musk, we now know everywhere you go, everything you say and all the time in a Tesla, driving, charging etc., is recorded and cataloged. They have video of everyone at the charging stations, the conversations in the vehicles and all the telemetry of the vehicle and they can find you and your vehicle almost immediately. If that is how you want to live, have at it.

and on 150kw you dont ALWAYS split if someone parks next to you, for example if you are 1B and someone parks in 2A you arent splitting. but if someone parks at 1A then you will, so next to you AND the same number.
