My friend just got a Model 3 for Uber driving. I recommended your channel to him so he could get some insight on driving one here in Las Vegas.

Thanks for making all the review videos on the Model 3 and Y. I've finally ordered a MYP last weekend with your referral link and will be taking delivery this week in Las Vegas!

I live in Tucson and have owned a Model Y since July. I started spotting them when I became interested in someday owning one , but since I drive one now I literally can't go on a drive in any direction or distance that I don't see several of them. Don't know jack about any other EV brands so don't know them if I see them , but yep, we got Teslas. You seem to have us beat on the number of super Chargers though and I spot maybe about four locations for the whole area, but since I charge at home mostly always, it's not a problem for me. IN addition we have only one Tesla service center for the whole city and surrounding areas. One lesson I learned the hard way this last summer is that you need to turn on the recirculation feature in the AC controls. I discovered I was using over 400 Watt hours per mile and was used to using just about 280 on an average (110-118 deg) hot day. It takes more energy to cool down 112 deg ambient air than it does recirculated cabin air. Just one of the little things one needs to learn and pay attention to.

That’s a good tip! And yes I heard they’re popular out there too. Glad you love it!

the Durango Station Casino has a TON of Tesla Chargers in the parking garage! Its a little pricy, but if you need to charge its a great place as its undercover in the parking garage

I’m a local. This is a great video, you forgot to mention there are high car registration rates but no state income tax. Those gravel trucks are a major hazard. I had one through a rock and break my windshield last year.
@vegasteslafamily

I did mention that! But yes those gravel trucks are the worst.

How hot the seats get in the hottest days? Preconditioning the car is enough to cool down the seats?
@rvictor701
@rvictor701 Ай бұрын
Have a high quality ceramic window tint and using shade covers for the glass roof during the summer helps cool the seats and overall interior temperature
@vegasteslafamily
@vegasteslafamily Ай бұрын
If you let the AC hit the seats for a few minutes, they will be cool in the summers!

Been thinking of a Tesla as my next car due to care free maintenance and being more nimble, but I feel like I'm going to miss all the physical buttons in my Camry along with the front dashboard etc. You are moving forward w/ Tesla's tech, but also feels like going backwards having everything except the center touchscreen lol. How'd you do the transition?

It’s an easy adjustment. It’s honestly so nice to have everything in one place, teslas software is top notch

Does anyone if the cost to charge at Tesla station for you non Tesla EV, cost over 10% more or are they apx the same cost ? Does anyone know if pre-conditioning your battery for DC fast charging at a Tesla station, is really necessary for months March through November to get the fastest charging speed possible? (not all EV models come standard with a heat pump, but how much does this really matter in areas like Las Vegas where it never gets much colder than 40 degrees outdoors anyway from December through February even at 10PM)

@@vegasteslafamily Do you have any thoughts on my other question about the role of a heat pump's importance in Las Vegas ? for example how often have you used it in wintertime DC Fast Charging in Las Vegas?

Been through Vegas a couple times, definitely have more Teslas up here in Portland and Seattle. Honestly I didn't really even notice that many in Vegas, you can't stop at a stop light up here without being surrounded by them, lol. I'm curious about how much you lose on your range in the heat. As a new Tesla owner I've been really disappointed with my range compared to the EPA on it. If I drive and don't really think about it I only get about 2/3 of the estimated range. If I drive like a granny and chill mode I can get about 90% of estimated range.
@vegasteslafamily
@vegasteslafamily Ай бұрын
That’s how it is out here too! I’d say like 10-20% more we lose in the heat

How is your car registration a thousand? Got a MY AWD back in march 2024 and my registration was 842. Still expensive but lower than your thousand perhaps you got the performance version?

You said you don’t wanna put your eggs in one basket, do you only do Tesla / Social media?? or do you work?? If you didn’t work it could work out?? You did pump out a lot of content recently. Living in AZ I did want a Tesla for convenience of being able to cool my car and bring my dogs with me but like i’ve said before the monthly I just can’t stomach.

Hmm. Yes I work full-time in addition to all this. If this was full-time for me, you’re right I think I would take on hosting events and such! That would be fun and more things would align… I’m not close to doing that, but that would be awesome lol

@rodneythomas I gotta say - folks that buy a Tesla after 2024 are pretty lame after knowing the truth about Elon Musk and his anti-democracy stance. Also your logic is flawed. Joel Osteen does not own Christianity. Musk owns Tesla, see the difference?
