Arizona SAR is probably the worst trained organization in the country. I went out on my own to find a missing man. SAR checked all the wrong areas and didn't follow any common sense tracking techniques. Within 3 hours I narrowed down the area he would be in to about a 2 acre area. Told SAR and they blew me off and tried to have me arrested for being out without being registered with FEMA as a SAR member. SEVEN weeks later they found his body right where I said it would be. When an elderly man went missing I deduced where he would've gone and they blew me off again. Again I was right and they took 3 days to find his body. Same for 5 other missing people. Why do I gotta pay the state $150 and do a 40 hour training program to unlearn military training when I'm 9-0 undefeated in finding people and they are 14-293.

Quick question Robert that I wondered if you could answer for me please: I typically wear a waterproof jacket (Arc'teryx Beta AR) when wearing gloves/mitts. I always prefer to wear the cuffs of my jacket over the cuff of the glove/mitts. The jacket I have has velcro adjustment to widen and close the jacket cuff. I was wondering, would you say the Fission SV glove will fit underneath a waterproof sleeve, its just I prefer to wear them this way, as I find if I wear the glove over the sleeve in rainy conditions the rain can run down the jacket sleeve and into the glove.

Great review Robert. I suffer from Raynauds. I live in the UK and use gloves/mitts during the winter. Admittedly we have milder winters than other places in the world, but with me suffering from Raynauds, means I need to use a glove/mitt, that would be an overkill for a lot of people to use in the conditions I use them in. I'm currently debating between these and the Fission SV Mitten, as from what I've read the SV weather (abbreviation of the word severe) is the range that provides the most warmth from their SV (severe weather) range. I might end up getting both, as mitts can sometimes be a bit warmer than their glove version. I'm travelling to a place in the UK in the next couple of months that has some Arc'teryx stores, so I'm hoping to be able to try the Fission SV gloves and Fission SV mittens on while in the store, and see how they feel, and which will be the best size.

For folks that loved the original captive polos (2010-2020 - I own in 24 colors), it's really disappointing that they brought back this name in a different shirt. The original captive polo has twice as many fabric panels, whereas this one is basically the same polo as you can get from any other brand.

Nice overview. I just snagged the 2024 Panterra ID 120s to try them out once they arrive. Similar foot profile... wide ass monkey feet and high arches😮. Hoping for the $295 deal I found I get a good fit, but will likely need to get them ground out to about a 104 last if they work. How did you size yours? I am a 10 street shoe in most cases, and opted for the 27.5s sight unseen. In Salomons I roll a 26.5, but it looks like Dalbello runs a bit smaller.

I totally understand you when you say the opera was strange. Seeing an opera is expensive so I'm so particular when seeing one (i.e. making sure it's an opera I like, seating, staging). If I'm going to spend the money it has to be worth it. The MET is doing Aida next season but it says it's a new staging with "intricate projections and dazzling animations". I'm not sure what that means but it sounds like projects in replacement of a lot of the physical staging.

Best review have heard in a long time Great to hear someone talking on the level of the average skier . Laughed at the black diamond run almost had a heart attack. Brought back memories long ago black mountain joking around to launch off Sudan got to the edge near shit. my pants took my breath away . First launch off the mates said no not there. I’ll be fine two turns later. Crash by the time I got to stopping point near the bottom of the run skis and poles and bodies lying everywhere. Hilarious Thanks again M6 sound just right for me

I’m between the regular Konseal FL2s and the leather version. Is the regular somewhat water resistant? Like walking through tall wet grass, are my feet going to get wet? I’m not planning on fording creeks, I’d rock hop anyway. I just don’t wanna go leather and be sweating like crazy in the summer if I’m gonna be able to stay generally dry with the regulars

It sucks that your lens broke. But in all fairness, their warranty is on their website and its pretty clear what is covered and what isn't. I've worn glasses and contacts/sunglasses for year, it's a common necessity to check for screw tightness periodically on glasses. I've had prescription lenses fall out. I got my Randolph's a few months ago and my experience has been good. Try Maui Jim's, they have great sunglasses too and many have a more rounded shape.

Hi Robert, I happened to find these boots online after wacthing your video and I bought them imediately. They fit my feet as feeling like tailored for me and have become my favorite ski boots so far. I have tried many other boots of Salomon and Atomic lines but there are no boots like these. I am so happy I scanned your video and watched it till the end. Salute to you, sir!
