momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

Gentaro didn't see it coming the small tiny baby he used to pull, drag & taken away were about to be strong! everyday now even Gentaro want to sleep or find peaceful time he won't and can't run away 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🦍 I could have imagine when they're all indoor Genki gotta protect kinny more! True. I see all these more current comments about "wonderful" Gentaro and it makes me cringe thinking about how bratty and annoying he was when Kintaro was a tiny new born. Gentaro has turned into a very good big brother but he's still a pain in the neck to sweet Genki once in a while, picking on her.. It makes me sad how he terrorises her.

Poor Genki, she is tired from all of this, finally able to relax because Kintaro is bigger and I really hope she does not get pregnant having to endure any kind of stress again. She is just getting too old for it. She deserves to just enjoy her boys, love on them and take as many naps as she would like. 💐💐💐💐💐…It was cute when Momo went after Gentaro who probably screamed and Kintaro went running toward him to hug him and protect him. He loves his bro.

Poor Baby Kintaro! It was a miracle he came through his infancy. All that jerking, pulling and dragging him. Broken bones, dislocation of joints and concussions just wasn't in his stars. But, Mom Genki got a couple of good punches in on Gentaro, not to mention giving him a good shower when she spat the water on him. It sure did shock him. He couldn't get it wiped off fast enough, I remember in some of the early videos when Genki would let Gentaro play with Baby Kintaro, Kintaro had to be doing the touching first. Then, Genki would let them play until Gentaro messed it up by trying to steal Kintaro. Daddy Momo was no slouch WHEN he would run after Gentaro. Thank goodness Gentaro respected his dad enough to let go of the Little Prince. Then came the day, when Kintaro was almost fast enough to catch his Big Bro. He even learn to use shortcuts to grab Gentaro (2:57). Shortly after that, around the time the Little Prince tuned 2, he had learned "The Back Attack," Kintaro started to become an expert. He would jump on Gentaro and ride him, biting and pinching to win. Now that Kintaro is 3, he is a lot stronger, quicker and craftier. Many times now, we can see The Prince jump, chase down, and twirl his way to nigh victory. They get on Dad's nerves at times and he interrupts the contests, to the boys disappointment, but they will continue after Dad cools down. However, good 'ol Mom Genki ignores them, unless, they interrupt her meals, which is usually all day feasting. We love them all dearly. This Momotaro Family has swept us away completely. We just can't get enough of them. Through good times and bad, sickness and health, we continue to grow with them. Their day-to-day activities, have become part of our lives and we wish them much health and happiness. We are so grateful to the photographer who films them and to the Kyoto Zoo for allowing the videos to be posted on KZbin so we can enjoy this beautiful Momotaro Family. ゲンタロウ、ゲンタロウ大好きです。暴れるのは何故？と私なりに何度も考えてみました。キンタロウの事は兄として良く遊び可愛がっていると思う。一人っ子時代が長くて矢張りキンタロウばかり可愛がっている（？）と思う嫉妬かな？でも嫉妬ならキンタロウにも矛先が向かうはずだが、キンタロウをいじめたりはあまり見たことがない。ゲンタロウは生まれて１０か月間飼育員さんに育てられていましたよね。ゲンタロウは決して飼育員さんを忘れてはいないはず。でも捨てられたと思っていたらとしたら、キンタロウが生まれてから、「また自分は捨てられるのではないか？」思っているのかもしれない。

本当ですね。キンタロウ君強い子供に育ちましたね。最初赤ちゃんの時は誘拐されて引っ張り廻されて、げんきママが必死で追っかけて取り返したり、ママも気が気でなかったでしょうに。でもそれに鍛えられたのか少々の事には動じない子供に育ちましたね。兄ちゃんが父さんから叱られてクシュンとしてたら兄ちゃんの変わりに父さんに浣腸だとばかりいたずらする始末で、父さんに叱られてもフーンってもんですものね。さぞかし立派なシルバーバックになることでしょうね。残念ながら私の方が年をとっているのでキンタロウ君の成長が見届けられない可能性が高いのが残念です。

It was a tough time for Genki protecting Kintaro as she had to carry him on one hand and was often trying to eat, so food in the other hand ( which she needed to breastfeed her baby). Yet Gentaro's frequent and sudden attacks made it very hard for her to either eat or rest. Bravo to her for the perseverance and determination in protecting her baby !
