This build, and any infinite-top builds, etc are amazing. Until you get that Time Eater run and have to walk away, talk to family, get counseling, and eventually accept your inevitable fate. Cause Time Eater doesn't care how many clever tricks you have, he's going to eat time. Goes down like a chump to exponential str builds tho.

As someone who ground out all the achievements, there are plenty of scenarios where save scumming won't save you. It's really not a big deal to use it, especially since it's only really useful when you absolutely know you misplayed, or rng majorly screwed you over.

I mean you can basically only replay fights that you played wrong, and are there any enemies that have rng based attacks? Trying to save scum a random event will often just lock you out of the event, and drops are randomly generated at the start of a game and then read in order off a list iirc. Save scumming is more for retrying a fight in my experience, which seems perfectly fine to me in a game so purely strategical

Go for orbs. Basically any card that generates an orb is a good card if you get enough of them. Dualcast is very strong and should be used nearly every time you draw it, especially early game. Recursion is also a strong card, especially if you have dark orbs. Defect has extremely strong powers that are often worth picking up, defragment, capacitor, self repair, biased cognition, electrodynamics, etc. Go for the eyes is something you basically always want to have, and its common so you should usually be able to get at least 1. Charge battery can roll you into basically 4 energy a turn if you get a few of them, picking up 1 melter is a strong utility card. I stay away from cards that dont immediately do anything like skim, recycle, overclock. Glacier is extremely powerful and can turn a mediocre deck into a winning one easily. Defect is the first character I got to A20, for a while it was my favorite/most comfortable class. The strategy shown here by AA works sometimes but it's not a great thing to aim for, assembling all the cards needed to make this good isn't always possible, and most of the cards on the first line aren't good cards, like claw, turbo, and beam cell. Go for the eyes and hologram are probably the best all around good cards from the decklist. All for one is more something you build around if you happen to pick it up, since it's likely to already have a go for the eyes to go with it. Out of the first three cards I would have picked rainbow personally, in my opinion 2-drops are often the most powerful cards in slay the spire. I hope maybe that can help, good luck!

While I agree that recycle might not be great in your playstyle, it is one of the best cards you deck could get. It is just that it doesn't work with your tactic of just going full flow state and playing cards as they come.

slight misstatement of the claw card. When you play a claw it buffs call claws not just the claw card played. Also, the mods bring new life to the game. Some of the custom decks are really op, others are far too odd.

Idk if you've ever tried it but Tainted Grail is another deck building rogue lite that I've been obsessed with the last few weeks. It's basically this but 3D and you get to actually walk your character around a path.

Why do you not use 0 cost cards at the end of your turn? They go to your discard pile anyways..? You say “not worth it” but their cost is 0. Can you only use the same card x amount of times per game or something?

The 0 cost card you're probably talking about is "Turbo" which gives 2-3 energy but adds a void card into your deck when played, which is an unplayable card that drains 1 energy. If it's the end of his turn and there's nothing good left to play, there's no reason to play the Turbo as it will make his draws worse later.

After playing Vault of the Void for a while StS just feels so... uninteractive. Purging (discarding cards for energy, usually a couple every single turn) alone makes it sooo much more interesting imho.

Recycle was so incredible in the boss fight, you just didn't use it right >.> like having a defend on hand and using recycle to empty your hand instead of playing defend and recycling your turbo and that commenter about the stroke was right... you wanted to guarantee hologram and madness in hand at the same time... so you hologrtammed for all for one... why not for madness?!?

I do not understand how you came to this conclusion-but it is a lovely game. I think it's slow pacing would make it kryptonite to stream unfortunately
