It turned out great. It is exciting to see how much you can do with just natural light. I often just take away light too, with dark blankets. And it is so fast when you don't need to rig up lights and cables everywhere 🙂

I've definitely been in that kind of situation before I had any lights and I really couldve used this video. I will say you are pretty lucky to be shooting in such a neat and bright house :) the one biggest thing I would say is sometimes it's good to rearrange furniture and remove distracting objects so it looks natural through the camera. It sounds simple but for example I wouldve moved that box thingy and ditched the phone. When I first started, especially when I was shooting at other peoples houses, I was too shy to move stuff around and change decorations. In the end you arent just representing the client, your work also represents yourself, so to all you new videographers dont sacrifice the quality of your project just to be polite.

Really loved this one fellas! All my cinematic shots are low budget stretches so far. The idea of the phone light under the vase is genius

Glad to finally find a video about no budget home lighting. Watched so many that were just expensive lights manipulated by home products!

Love this! Great storytelling, but also very practical, real world solutions that aren't just "buy X expensive gear and do Z with it"

This video was great for me. I do freelance photography as my own business, as well as a bit of filmmaking as a hobby. I only have 2 cheap LED rigs on a tripod and a desk lamp or two. I'm able to make it work though!

I am in a bedroom with no overhead lights and front and right sided windows. My zoom images are always dark and fuzzy. Are you saying if I put my lamps at angle behind me, it would brighten it? Would adding overhead lighting fix the issue? The fluorescent lights at office buildings seem to always give perfect images. It's incredibly frustating!

What now? Oh, you were talking about lights. Your hair is so bouncy that's all I could see. Darn nice hair you have. Simple style yet so perfect and artistically bouncy and natural lookingly styled. I liked this video not for whatever was the subject but because your hair is a work of art. You should open a second channel for men about how you cut and style your hair.
