0 to 10000 Subscribers! The Most REALISTIC Way to grow a YouTube Channel.

Growing a KZbin channel from 0 to 10000 subscribers is not easy task. Every KZbin Growth gurus has said that thumbnail and video quality is everything in growing a KZbin channel, it is what pushes your video into the KZbin algorithm.
Getting more subscribers is a little more than that, and I want to share what works for me in this KZbin journey.

Likewise. I tried them all, none works. In the end, their basics make sense (thumbnail, title, video, topic) but it still unique to each channel. At the end of the day, we still got to figure things out on our own and find what works for our channel

Those gurus do make sense in some way. Once you watch a lot of them, you'll notice they share the same point and that's the point you can take to focus on. Other than that, everything else is bonus and may work for their channel only

Everyone has that too. For example, Nate Black is in the same niche as me. He gets over 10k view easily per video. I don't see anything different from my video and his but what we can't see is how he already established his credibility and reputation over the years. Most of our competitors has an edge and it is not evident at first.

The comments part of this video really helped, thank you. I did a video the other day which got more views than I expected "viral" for me... that I knew would get opinions on both sides. It's always the negative comments that seem to get my attention more. The positive comments are a simple thank you. Those pesky negative ones lol really take up more time mentally than it should. So yes, I 100% agree. Mentally preparing for the potential negative ones is an absolute must so it it's never a surprise. BIG congrats on the 10K. Well deserved.

Yes! I know some of the things he says can be harsh and it is an arrow through my heart, but when I think about it, it make sense. I love his lifestyle of freedom and possibilities. And I don't think he is making it up, like how many big influencers are actually broke but act like they are living the life. He makes it more believable. Me and him are both software engineers but his explanation on why he can make more money on YT than to code actually makes it so relatable to me.

Not sure about you but what held me back from being me is the numbers, particularly views and subs. Sometimes, I find myself afraid of trying new styles because I am scared to see a drop in views and subs. I mean, why change what's working right? To counter that, I mix up my videos once in a while. Maybe every 3rd video I will try something drastic, like different topic, different thumbnail, different title. Or maybe I'll just talk like a normal person about current trends. Experimenting is key if you want to learn what is working for you.

I hear you. It can feel so demotivating after a big push. I find it stressful everyday to see views and subs slowly dwindling down but that's how it is. Learning to accept it is a challenge for me but I am getting the hang of it now.

One viewer will say he loves the music and the next will say he hates it and the 3rd will say he prefers no music. It can really get to you if you let it. Also, in my community polls the videos that get the most votes end up being my least viewed videos and lead to the least growth in subscribers. It can get nerve racking.

That's right. 1 video of mine stayed dormant for 1.5 years and is now sitting at over 400k views. No change in thumbnail, no change in title. 1.5 years ago many would say it is a failed video, the thumbnail sucks, the title sucks. But now, they'll say the video is good, thumbnail is good and title is good. What changed? Just YT giving more impressions and swayed the perspective of many viewers.

Thank you. Yes, in some way, KZbin is like blogging, except in video format, hence video blogging (vlogging??). Some KZbinrs use their script and put it in their blog. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone!

@@KevinChee that’s a good idea too. For me KZbin was a platform to give more value to my readers in a video format by linking videos to my blog posts. But then I begun interested in KZbin itself. Being a travel photographer video format was a natural way to grow and learn new skills. P.S. I appreciate a lot that you take your time to reply for comments, not many do that anymore. Though now that you are in 10k I think you need to remember also to value your own time. In some point I was in a situation that I was spending more time in social media than producing content just to reply to all comments. I still do reply in my blogs and here, but your account is getting so huge that it’s understandable if you wouldn’t reply to each comment.

Yeah, I was 4k subs a month ago. Crazy how things can change with a simple push by KZbin. That push was on a video that gained 100k views. Imagine that got pushed to 500k or even 1M views, that will be an insane growth. Maybe KZbin is testing something on my channel, I don't know.

I always give myself a benchmark. If my views are 10% of my subs then that’s average. The bigger you get, the higher you aim. Check out the big channels, you’ll see their views are roughly 10% of their subs

I just reached 10,000 subs too but it took me 11 years! I was posting videos sporadically though because I was busy raising my kids. I agree with all your points. And it’s a very emotional journey because of how hard it was to get here! If you get to 10,000, that means you pushed through technical difficulties with camera, audio, editing, you almost gave up several times, you didn’t know if this journey was worth it anymore…. Are we crazy to even try? Congrats, Kevin! You seem like a KZbinr destined for 100k or more subs!

Haha, thanks. This is the simplest editing I have done I think. Not too much broll which can take up a lot of time. I hope it still manage to grab your attention. Do you mean how the background is blurred? If so, it is the auto focus of my camera doing its thing. You need to get a good lens though. If you are referring to specifically the toys behind, then no, I didn't know it blends in. The area was actually a mess and I cleaned it up and put them all aside so that I can record my video 😂
