Thanks for the video. My daughter drives a 2000 Chevy impala. I bought it for her at age 16 now she is 20. We have been trying for 6 months trying to figure out where the rain water was coming in from. Thanks for the video. We will try this, she has been scooping out water with a solo cup.

thanks so much. fixed this and changed the air filter! water caused my speakers to stop working, also my blower motor. all is back to normal now thanks again

Same here! Thankfully they were able to fix the wiring and that’s all was needed to get the sound back on the radio. That was about 3 weeks ago too. Now I just dropped it at the shop because I’ve had enough of the water problem on the passenger side floor…front and back seat area. I’m tired of using the shop vac to clean up the water. Had the dealer change this cabin filter and I thought it'd be fine and didn't think nothing of it. I gave the car to my 16 year old son and he said his speakers had stopped working and that his passenger side front and back was full of water on the right side. So he started doing research and found your video. Just wanted to tell you thanks for the help, saved a lot of time and believe it or not, saved us from buying a new speaker because they started working again.

I bought an 01 for $500 that was rust free. The owner thought that the engine was blown up. It would run but barely. It didn't have enough ass to pull itself onto the tow dolly. Repair shop had it for 3 weeks and couldn't figure it out. I checked the compression and found number 5 cylinder didn't have any. Pulled valve cover and found a broken valve spring. Cost $7. to replace. Wifes niece is driving it now while I have her 04 Hyundai Santa Fe. Have to find a gas leak.

Shorted out my blower motor a few times. Apparently Chevy makes some raggedy cowls because the cabin filter has been soaked a few too many times.

I had a similar problem, had to flush the radiator and replace the fluid worked like new.

I thought this might be my problem cause it seemed to happen only when it rained, however I used a complete car cover first untill I could get someone to help me to do the above mentioned fix.. I still got water in my passenger side floor.. It seems to come from under the dash in little streaks,, has no smell other than water,, my coolant is ok and doesn't seem to be leaking.,, my engine or temp guage doesn't get hot like suggested for for a leaking heater core,, so I'm at my wits end .. grrr..

not usually, have some check your windshield A piller for a leak, good luck.

Please show us how to remove the black part covering the seal, it is not obvious and cannot do the repair without removing it so this video is completely useless because you don't know how to get everything taken apart since the video starts with everything apart.
