now this is halifax minsters ringing chamber wher we ring the bells from we can ring a light 10 from blue sallys to blue lighter 10th bell ok then we can ring a medium 6 bells or 8 bells with a flat sharp ok so this is the lighter 10 bells if we dont ring big bill up the biggest bell the 12th bell so we dont ring the heavyer bells only if we dont get enough ringers if we ring 6 bells on a sunday morning or 8 bells we ring the light 8 or a little heavyer 8 to swap the extra flat 2 trebles so the bells sound diffrent key ither in A sharp or c when we get a lot of bellringers at halifax minster then we will ring up the biggest bell great big bill bell but the strikes has to be pulled of the bell so it can be rung up in peal by 2 stronge ringers ok so the big bell isnt the wrong way around means its not up wrong ok so we have to check the bell first one person stood by a box other person on the box so 2 people can start to ring the bell up you cant ring this bell up by your self its to big to difficult its because the tenor bell has got a bigger wheel on so it takes longer to ring up in peal it has to be done seprate you can ring the smaller bells up in peal because they are smaller and not as big to ring up so they are easyer to raise up in full peal stuarts tower where i come bellringing on a friday eve practices sunday mornings weddings 1 or 2 quarter peals in a year only speceall occasions i was made a member here in 1999 when i first joined the halifax minster team its always nice to ring all 12 bells we rang some plain hunt on 12 bells then rounds on 12 bells then plain hunt on the lighter 10 bells blue to blue sallys yes then coverd to stedman cinx on 11 with myself covering on the 12 bell bonging behinde then more plain hunt on all 12 bells then grandsire caters on 9 with a cover with myself ringing big bill again the back 10 bells then last chance was yorkshire on the back 8 bells then that was it it was a great night and it was nice to see every body back from the lockdown it was so lovley we rang all 12 bells first time in 2 years by stuart mills the heavyst bellringer uk helper nice to see halifax minster to where i come bellringing its so nice i really enjoyed the 12 bell practice on th17 of september on the friday eve it was exellent 10 out of 10
