I've had the opportunity to meet and speak with Jay on a couple of occasions at various law enforcement conferences. He's the real deal and a truly genuine guy. Much respect to both of you!

I'm pretty sure that the real subject matter experts pretty much laugh at everything TV does in their particular field. Doctors, cops, bikers, etc. Hollywood just can't help changing things from what they really are to what Hollywood thinks they are. And, it's never as good as the real story would have been.

As a former law enforcement officer, I can't thank Jay Dobyns for commenting on how valuable women are in law enforcement. His view of women in special operations was spot on as well. Very humbling to watch...

One of the best abs coolest interviews I have ever listed to. I listened to the whole thing while plowing the streets of Boston during a snowstorm. So good and entertaining.

Mike, you need to do a compilation video of Mike’s rants. They are absolutely hilarious. From addressing folks who get offended to talking about meteorologists who can’t tell when it’s going to rain, that compilation would be epic.

Funny you should mention meteorology...I took two met courses in college from the same prof (knowledgeable great guy) In the last classroom day he gave us a farewell talk and told us “if you want to know the weather look out the window”.

One of the best interviews/podcasts i've heard in a while! You are doing great work Mike. I've read his book when it came out in 2009 and i somehow forgot about him. The name clicked somehow, so i tuned in to the podcast and like i stated, i was very impressed.

Billy queen was an ATF agent who went undercover and infiltrated the Mongols MC. Book is called “Under and Alone” came out before “No Angel” a great read if you liked this story

Hells angels are pretty tough guys but they are not trained killers like seals. Hells angels are killlers too but not disciplined and trained like military men. But then again the founders of the hells angels were in fact ww2 veterans. So They're is that dichotomy. The criminal underworld vs the military world is very similar but also very different. Brotherhood in different ways

I read this book about I think 3 years ago and I could not put it down I stayed up a little too late screwed off when I was supposed to be working who is a great book and you obviously picked a good interview so good for you man thanks for the interview it was awesome

Good podcast. Wish there was more of an emphasis of what he actually did within the club and what his normal day to day looked like rather than all the emphasis placed on his relationship with his family.

I didn’t even realize you had interviewed jay until I recently listened to jack carrs first podcast with Katie Pavloic and she talked about jay dobyns and operation fast and furious cover up and I wanted to learn more about jay and this was excellent

Ultimately it was a tough and demanding assignment, but I found the book a hard read. Ego, drinking and shaving corners to close cases. The kids issue was extremely hard to read, between ignoring the kids trapped in an abusive home and ignoring your own children.. tough choices and I'm not sure the job is worth it.
