Great work guys! I'm doing 45-60 kids EACH grade level K-6 for 30 minutes each class level. Please post some large class activities please that would really help. I do not have a co-teacher!

Yikes! That's a lot of kids to manage by yourself, check this out www.thepespecialist.com/largeclasshacks/

I teach in Japan and a lot of the students have "uwabaki" indoor shoes. It's very common for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade to have these types of shoes in japan which take away and shoe tying situations. I sometimes have to deal with it but on rare occasions.

This is very helpful, just got done my second day ever teaching kinders and I feel they were just lost. We're outside with barely lines on the blacktop. I'm glad I saw this and I'll go back and do things differently so no one feels lost. We have lots of ESL so I think too many directions will lose them. Do you set up squad lines with them?

Hey do you guys have the year mapped out with what specific games to do for each grade level and working on what skill?

just curious, why would you wait half the year for tag games for kinder? Thanks for the content!

Because at the beginning of the year Kinder can barely walk on a line, it takes a while to get them in the routine and to understand the expectations - even following simple instructions can be a struggle... just taking baby steps

When Kindergarten does stations, are there any recommendations you have for getting them to remember what to do at each station (since they can't read)? Do you just constantly remind them of what to do?

Keep it super simple and only add one new station at a time - For example, once they learn 4 stations, I will keep 3 of the same activities and switch out one new station so they already know what to do at 3 of the 4 and only have to learn one new station. Either that or give the same directions and switch up the equipment (bounce it 3x, catch it 3x, toss to the wall 3x) and place a different ball at each station.

How many kids do you put in a group for each station?

Just depends on the size of the group, if you've got 24 kids and 4 stations you'd do 6 at a station, but if you've got 48 kids that would be 12 - so divide by the number you've got and the station's your doing
