Love the LED bulb swap and this JB4 install video but we all NEED and WANT an update on how the car is with the JB4 (power, acceleration, traction, etc.)

Oh it’s definitely worse when you’re using a map - on the most aggressive settings I’m getting around 15-18 mpg on my GT - the good thing is, you can use the app (assuming you go with the Bluetooth) and swap it on and off as you want.

No it does not, the module stays in the last configuration until you change it.

It’s not so bad, the hardest part is the lower connector just because it’s so cramped.

No DIY, the only thing I needed to do was get the harness from Burger Tuning

did you realize later you were running on the wrong firmware? and were you very disappointed after the update? because I was! :{ seems it comes pre-installed or thinks we are running Kia/Hyundai maps instead of the smart stream. and I was not making as much power when I was on that 21//22/5 map.

No lights, no issues and I keep it on as a daily driver.

I did - I ended up having tons of problems with idle and stalling with the lap3. I contemplated doing a video but I don’t know.

So my engine is stock. I have a bov from burger motorsports coming soon. Is it worth buying one of these or no?

If you’re getting the BOV plate from Burger you’re running the 1.6 I assume; the setup and install is a lot different (but easier) on that engine but I’m not sure if the performance based on the cost. That said, I would recommend it on the GT 2.5 (at least until I get ahold of LAP3 and see how it compares). Best of luck!

@@JustStandardLife okay sounds fair. I’ve saw videos of people with them on it and it still sounds legit. Also with these jb4 tuners, can you have them hooked up and still not be using it or is it always in use even when not hooked to Bluetooth through phone.

Fully plug in n play, no splicing; can be returned to stock in maybe 15 minutes.

Not currently; I got a defective flange on my first one and with the high cost and odd placement, not sure it’s worth it. Maybe once we get some aftermarket intercooler options and other upgrades - then swap it all at once while it’s all tore down.

@@JustStandardLife I had the same experience with Shark. I got a very small flange and just received the new one. It’s such a pain. The worst part was putting the OEM diverter valve back on after realize I had the wrong one.

Yes just pop it off before any warranty service to avoid issues; only takes a couple minutes.

No not yet, talked with Terry at Burger Tuning and he mentioned the 2.5s were running fine on stock plugs in all their testing; the 1.6 they do recommend gapping down to 0.022 - I'm hoping to get ahold of the LAP3 when its released as well and will see what they are recommending to compare the two.

Piggyback systems do not - I’ve talked to my local dealer and I’ve taken it in for service with if fully on and aware for recalls / etc and never had an issue.
