Same, sadly it came really short later, from reveal onwards Blofeld was really badly handled, and they wasted Schulz's talent. He got a tiny bit better in No time to die, but the dialogue and general disposition of Blofeld is just really lame compared to how mysterious he was built up in the Rome scenes, they should've ditched 'author of all your pain' approach same as adoptive brother trope and kept him more mysterious and menacing, perhaps closer OHMSS Blofeld

We all have our favourite Bond. Sean Connery was a bit special and being the first set the standard. Roger Moore had that class about him and the underplayed humour. However, the way Ian Fleming wrote the part was with James Bond being a ruthless trained assassin and I think Daniel Craig just about nailed it.
@DrCrabfingers Жыл бұрын
Ian Fleming had in mind a privately schooled English gentleman, a diplomat that could kill if needed. His ideal actor for the role was David Niven. He was horrified when Connery was named, a body builder and model, too macho and lacking in the education of a diplomat....but he warmed to him during filming...(Dr No)...and eventually came to enjoy Connery's Bond. Literary Bond is never muscled but much more the quiet well educated connoisseur, multi linguist, and gentleman that has been given licence to assassinate when needed. Hollywood has moved Bond away from Fleming's creation to a muscled action hero that appeals to a mainly American modern stereotype.

It's immaculate Bond ensured this woman would survive, as up until Sciarra, no Bond Girls survived. As Solange, Valenka, and Vesper all perished by the hands of Spectre, Strawberry Fields was drowned in oil by Quantum, and Severine shot by Silva. Madeleine of course appearing after Sciarra, while Camille Montez shared a platonic relationship with Bond. Thus making Bellucci to really be the only surviving Bond Girl of the Craig series.

zblot641, yeah I do. I’m assuming you don’t, right? Well, we’re trying to save the country from falling under an authoritarian who will not step down if an election does not result in his favor, so if you excuse us, we’re going to emerge victorious.
