I love how animalistic Greene is during his one-on-one with Bond. Where as Bond is a strong and calculated killer, Greene is unpredictable and wild with his offense. He had Bond counterattacking the entire time, which was Greene's downfall with that final swing.

That's the point - he isn't a better fighter. He isn't a fighter. But Bond keeps having random explosions to deal with, while a person who is swinging can be dangerous even to a professional fighter. There are couple of seconds where they fight on more equal playing field and Bond demolishes him.

In a film that I positively dislike, that has to be one of the best moments. That’s what I find frustrating, these incredible moments buried in bad editing, poor storytelling and a generally dull film. Craig is absolutely phenomenal in this one, but he couldn’t save it for me personally. This moment is particularly reminiscent of Bond’s thoughts in the Live and Let Die novel, where he decides before the boat starts towing them through the water that if he can’t get both him and Solitaire free from the rope as they’re dragged along the reef, he’ll intentionally drown her to spare her the worse fate of being eaten alive by sharks. He’s given up nearly all hope, so he puts all his thought into sparing his companion from a horrifying death.

@Maria Kelly of the Daniel Craig Era... And yes it's supposed to... But Bond had 0 personality here. Or you count a bull as character. He looks dead inside. The movie is tasteless, the camera work is bad. And it starts by a car chase, how? At the end of Casino Royale, he shot the guy peacefully in a lake house, suddenly he's chased by dudes in FWD Alfa Romeo that somehow can keep up no problem with a DBS... On dirt ok, but on road? And trying to relate to his love for Vesper at the end just ruins the love he had, and made him cold yet fun and sarcastic. Casino Royale was supposed to be James Bond before THE James Bond everyone knows. So ok, but this one, he should have started to be more James Bond. Yet he felt like a Machine.

@@splintergectornathan9045 playing dead inside, and acting like a cow isn't the same thing. A tough guy falling in love worked in the Casino Royale. And yes this movie was badly written, badly directed. Action scenes made no sense. The story of the making of this mess of a movie is more interesting than the movie itself. It's the only recent Bond movie that has a story most people can't recall enough to explain. As for being broken by Vesper's death... They pulled that string to the last movie. BTW, in the last movies, as much I don't like Madeleine Swann character's, or Lea Seydoux in that role (I think she's a bad actress in English) Craig managed to be violent but with emotions, yet delivering fun Bond/British humor. Good God,the camera movements in this movie are worst than those in a Paul W S anderson movie

Needed more quick cuts, could tell what was happening occasionally.
@villavilla63013 жыл бұрын
All of this is awesome, there's just so many damned cuts

I never realized how many jump cuts were used in the action sequences. It does feel a little artificial. Buuuuuuuuut, I still like the movie as a whole.

Am I the only one thinking he over acted the hell of that fight with those over the top screams ? 1:28 1:35 1:37 2:16 2:24 2:33 was the only one that made sense, considering he just chopped his foot in half.

I’m sure they have the footage for all these scenes somewhere who wants then to remaster this movie with less choppy edits

Craig's bond girls always know how to put up a fight. Vesper, camille, madiline, moneypenny are awesome!!
@greatwuta4 жыл бұрын
Vesper? You sure about that?
@trueblue62014 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. He lost one or two in every one of his movies save for maybe Spectre.

When Bond leaves Greene in the desert, Greene get first-hand experience why water is "the world's most precious resource". Karma.

i'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I think there are a few problems with constructing a building out of hydrogen cells?
