Where has all the music gone? With nearly 73 I wonder why the so called musicians of today seem to have lost the ability to make a good song with only their voice and four instruments. The Stones could do it, the Beatles could do it, Them could do it - gives me goosebumps every time I listen to Van ... Those were the days my friends. Thank you for them.

Yes I know. But Van gives the song a new dimension with his Jagger-like voice and the intensive instrumentation. Dylan is fine for lyrics and guitar but lacks intensity in vocal ability.

In meiner Jugend in Osnabrück wurde der Song immer ganz zum Schluss in einer Diskothek gespielt, morgens um vier oder halb fünf. Ich dachte damals immer, es sei Mick Jagger, der da singt ;-)

I was a very young one as i found this song and was ready to run off and looking for friedom and adventures... dreeming to become a biker. Now i m 61 and realised i m an old lady with her Triumph bike still love my long haired grey old man have children and a grand baby and feel so blessed that my teenaged dreams come true. This song is still in my heard and ever will be.

@@seppethom2033 ja, so habe ich es auch gemeint. Meistens ist für mich die Originalversion des Meisters (des Songwriters) die beste, schon aus Respekt vor der schöpferischen Leistung. In diesem Fall ist die "Nachsing"-Version von van Morrison die hörenswerteste ever.

Me at 73 and still loving Van and Them. Many great memories especially one long night in Manchester at the Heaven and Hell Club. Heaven upstairs and Hell downstairs where many slept on the floor in the wee small hours. They played "Here Comes The Night" over and over again where it became welded to my brain. How anyone could sleep was beyond me.

Van Morrioson is, to my opinion, one of the greatest musicians of the last century. He never reached popular stardom. He is the darling of the critics. Well deserved.

Next to Bob Dylan he is. Van morrison could never write ITS ALL OVER NOW BABY BLUE. But he sure can sing it. Best version there is on this song.

Ich muss 14 oder 15 gewesen sein und sah den Film „Rocker“, in welchem dieser Song zum Schluss auftaucht. Danach war nichts mehr wie vorher. Seitdem passt dieses Lied zu vielen Stationen meines Lebens. Danke, van, danke them und danke , natürlich, Bob...

@@janedoehamburg606 ich war vor 3 Wochen auf einen kleinen Konzert bei uns in der nähe von Köln. Eine caver band the doors aus den Niederlanden. Der Typ war wie Jim Morrison. Und das tollste die hatten mitt den original Instrumente gespielt. Das war klasse. Ansonsten fahren wir immer nach siegburg in der nähe von Köln. Kubana Konzerte .viele geile Bands gesehen. Das letzte mal vor corona the sweet. Aus den 70 er. Hoffe es geht bald wieder los .wen der scheiß vor bei ist. Gruß Bernd aus Köln.
