Hey Nancy❤ I keep track of everything I make. I log it in a crochet journal, I also take a photo of everything that I make. I love buying yarn, I don’t have the inventory that you have, but I have a nice supply. I only buy what I want. I will not buy yarn in every color. I only buy enough of the color for the project that I will make. I only buy yarn when it’s on sale and when I can get either cheap shipping or free shipping. You can do this. It’s just having control. I had a whole bunch of the bulky 6 yarn, I sold it all. I hated working with it.

I made a temp blanket for the yr 2021 it’s a king size 3 row granny square. There are 385 squares fits my bed perfectly love it. I put it together with a silver metallic yarn and when the yarn hits it you could see the shine. I’m very proud of this blanket ❤❤❤❤

I keep an excel spreadsheet with my projects information- all the yarny info & pattern & recipient. It’s really convenient ok to see progress! 2024 I completed 131 items - everything from dishcloths to blankets, with many things in between. I’ve been shopping my stash & except for a skein or 2 needed to complete a project I haven’t purchased yarn since February! Continuing with that this year & only buying what I need for a project. Finances are super bad & it’s a fun challenge to see what I have that works. Good luck!

Hobby Lobby had Jumbo Stitch Markets - blue & orange, 12 for $4.99. My son’s girlfriend & I bonded over crochet this week! Sh wants to do a granny blanket, so this spring we’re going to do a stitch along with her in OKC & me in Ft Worth! Gonna try the granny squares gone random pattern with I Love This Yarn. So fun to connect over yarn!🧶

Create a slideshow like the cardigan one with dates and what you called it. Then release it when you want. I have a slideshow of all my Boggy Creek Blankets I've made thus far. I use clear totes for my yarn storage as we have a cat that loves my yarn😒 I tried regular totes but finding anything was chaos. I can now see what I have in each clear totes .

I would love to log all of your yarn for you so you would be able to search a huge spreadsheet to look for a specific yarn and see what yardage and colours you have on hand.
