Hi Jeanne! I am excited about your new diamond paintings with Craft Ease. I really like the picture you inserted. The 'multi cardi" sweater you have on is so pretty! Your first knitting item is lovely! When you said you were done with the blue project and you are going to stop and make it a cowl, is a wonderful idea. If you don't like how things are going, go with what it is! I do suggest you try to 'tink' which is 'knit' backwards. It means to unknit. Make a small swatch. Then practice tinking. Just like how you know the structure of a crochet stitch, look at the knit stitch. Insert your needle back into the last stitch and work it off. Watch what happens. It is very easy. Tinking purl stitch works the same way, you just insert your needle from a different angle. It's all in fun, don't get stressed! The coverlet pattern is so nice! "Kindness Matters!"

HNY to you and Mr On The Hook!!! Love the cardi that you’re wearing…I have 3 cakes of the latte…I’ll have to try it…I brought the pattern when you first released it. Your knitted cowl is gorgeous…great job!!! Regarding the knitting takes a lot longer…that’s one reason I don’t knit…also if you drop a stitch…you have a whole. Crochet goes a lot quicker and is more forgiving. I tip my hat to the knitters…it’s definitely a work of patient!!! I’m super excited to receive the pattern for the Christmastime Coverlet!!! Knitting does take longer. haha A better way to SSK is slip the first stitch knitwise - the second one purlwise and then knit the two together. It lies down better. That technique was from Elizabeth Zimmermann’s daughter Meg. ❤️ Love the cardigan!

@deborahculler2973 Hi…..I looked on the pattern and she used a DK weight yarn with a 7mm hook. Not sure if she used the same for the winter white cardigan she’s wearing tho? If the Latte yarn is a DK weight then I would assume she used a 7mm hook but if the Latte yarn is a 4 weight she may have used an 8mm hook? Hope this helps!

@@deborahculler2973 Ohhhh Ok…..I’ve never purchased Latte cakes so I was not sure of the weight. Since it’s a 5 weight I’m really not sure what Hook size she used. In the pattern she writes explaining why she used a 7mm hook with DK yarn is for a nice drape. Maybe she used a 9 or 10mm with 5 weight yarn. Hopefully she will see your question hon and you can find out. 😊🧶
