toggle subdivision on/off in 18.5.633 is shift+plus/minus(no numpad plus minus) on my computer , for those people who encounter same problem like me

Loving this course. Purchased the gumroad assets which is nice. When I close out and re-open my Houdini file I lose all my display settings. Most notably my carefully positioned banana! Actually its a bit of a headache as I couldn't modelling off an architectural plan having to reposition and rescale perfectly every time I re-open. Am I doing something wrong?
