01/22/2017 - Severe Thunderstorm Warning / EXTREME Downpour!!! - Jacksonville, FL.

An old video I thought I lost for good from my old phone's SD card and I thought it was interesting enough to reupload it, even though it's almost 3 years old.
This severe thunderstorm which struck Jacksonville, FL. was part of the larger killer tornado outbreak of January 21-23, 2017, which struck the Southeastern states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.

Although no tornadoes were reported in the filming vicinity, this line of severe thunderstorm that hit Jax at the late evening hours and wrecked havoc on the freeways with blinding rain and strong winds still put up a decent show.

I know someone who was in Jacksonville on that date. The Storm Predection Center had a rare High Risk for their day 1 convective outlook and Jacksonville was in it. An F4 tornado had hit near Albany, Georgia earlier that day.
