I remember as a kid in the early 80s my dad's friend had a monster of a pit bull. I always asked why is he so tall Pitt pulls usually aren't so tall. Turns out the mom got with a great Dane and created a freaking mutant monster. He said the dog was bad tempered from day 1 and only listened to him and wife.the cops were well aware of the dog because some dumb ass ju,ped the fence intending to break in and the dog snapped his chain and almost killed the guy. Luckily the guy goto Dr the fence and the neighbors saw him laying there bleeding called cops. Cops ambulance came and the guys leg was almost completely severed.the dog chewed and played with tires and a fuking manhole cover that he would bite on an Ray around like a chew toy. To him it WAS his chew toy. I went to go out go out back door one day to help the wife feed the tog and she freaked and pushed me backmin telling meNo , don't ever go in the back yard, ever. I only ever saw the dog through the window. Thymus thick logging chains for a leash and had a special leather color for him that actually had spikes. They didn't live in a ever goo neighborhood so he ruled the back yard. The bad thing was he was smart and busted his chIn and got out many times. The cops were called on them owner. The dog would chase people he'd make smaller animals disappear and them owner would find bones from animals in his yard all the time. He eventually started chasing people too just for being outside with hi so the owner put up a bigger fence and that still didn't work. He even put in a 8 foot telephone pole hurried 4 foot in ground and concrete 3 feet aroun it and chained the dog to it with a bigger chain. Didn't matter he kept busting them and getting out somehow. Eventually mail stopped going down that street for almost 7 months. Then the cops came to take the dog the owner hid it.he was told forfeit the dog or go to jail. He did 3 months in jail. Then moved. Even after the dog bit his kid and his wife left over it he sill loved that dog. We moved not to much After so I don't know what happened to the dog. He was just a heavier taller pit bull looking and colored dog.

@@11cacoo That dog's demeanor switched as soon as he accidentally broke through. The dog was trying to scare the guy to death and got too excited and jumped through I would bet. If the guy had scolded the dog he would have jumped right back in the house. It probably did anyway.

And mail carriers carry mace for aggressive dogs, and we might use it if we feel we're in danger of being bitten or attacked. That's why it's important for people to keep them secure, it protects us and it protects the dog.

The second to last, with the raccoon, happened to me. I stepped outside my apartment to have a smoke, and while standing there a mom and her baby kit raccoons wandered by me. The little ones, being curious, wanted to see what I was about and started moving towards me. I immediately started making noise and waving them off, because, well... fleas and diseases and such. Mom waddled up to me (not coincidentally putting herself in front of the kits) and did pretty much the same thing - touched my shoe, then "ran away". The little guys learned the lesson - run from humans. Not a bad lesson to teach, really. Most of us won't harm them... but some will, and better safe than sorry. These little trash pandas learned something important that day, and I'm glad to have played my part in their childhood education.
