There’s a lot of negativity in the comments here which I guess is easy to do when watching on a phone and listening to it in isolation. However, live music is about being there and I was there and it was phenomenal, the best act that weekend by a country mile and I have seen brownie at his worst. This was superb

This is an epic yearning bass intro that gives meaning to the lyrics and the way the guitar just cuts across it with melodic splendour and craft really shows the ability of Squire as a song writer.
@MarlboroughBlenheim12 жыл бұрын
@@xyzxyz997 yes he did - the music was written by him and the lyrics by Brown. Hence why they both have credits for the song.
@MarlboroughBlenheim12 жыл бұрын
@@xyzxyz997 eh? You’re confused. I wanna be adored was written in the mid 80s and was on the debut album well before oasis were formed or gallagher was releasing music. It’s credited to brown and squire on the album and it’s well known squire wrote the music / guitar parts (unsurprisingly) and brown led on the lyrics. You’re thinking possibly of “keep what ya got” which was a collaboration by Gallagher and brown later.
@xyzxyz9972 жыл бұрын

you have the meaning wrong in my humble opinion. He's talking about God not the Devil. The light is already in him - why would he sell what he already knows is the devine truth. The universe adores you when you shine the light does it not? So as we walk this plain we too know a deeper truth and don't sell out - " I want to be adored!"

@@eightiesmusic1984Ohhhh of course: sadism onto pettiness wricking any enjoyment or euphoria into a major, huffing and puffing "crisis," endless greed displacing senation and pleasure for the mere possession of marketed objects, augmented by meaningless corporate awards instead of love from family or community, savage narcissism instead love, awwwww yes, these are the great Roads To Somewhere , aren't they? Sure they are, what a great civilization you "acheivers" have made for us, including the mass Rx-ing of pricey but feckless anti-depressants for The Fuckless, and genetal brutalization as if all were Will To Power, yet only the most shallow and cowardly Plutocrat version or would-be Plutocrat version of it, because even the Fascists had more genuine feeling than these money-mania'd cardboard men and women of modernity whose only ethic and telos is never lose a sale. It never really was that well known by the mainstream here in NA but I appreciate how much it is so loved in Britain. I totally believe that the crowd reception, of a different generation, of this wee brilliantly-played Roses set he and his band did led directly to the Roses Reformation. Squire and Reni watching that thinking, "Damn, we were so good, everyone loved our tunes, and they still do now." So good to hear those old and still relevant songs played live again, everyone singing along. Great to see.
