This is an epic yearning bass intro that gives meaning to the lyrics and the way the guitar just cuts across it with melodic splendour and craft really shows the ability of Squire as a song writer.

It’s credited to brown and squire on the album and it’s well known squire wrote the music / guitar parts (unsurprisingly) and brown led on the lyrics. You’re thinking possibly of “keep what ya got” which was a collaboration by Gallagher and brown later.

I totally believe that the crowd reception, of a different generation, of this wee brilliantly-played Roses set he and his band did led directly to the Roses Reformation. Squire and Reni watching that thinking, "Damn, we were so good, everyone loved our tunes, and they still do now."
