Thanks man, useful video! I bought this guy off eBay and it came with the upgraded wings. I haven't tried transforming him yet, so I was left scratching my head a bit confused as to how all the bits clipped together until I saw this.

I was considering buying these for my Pumpkin but those straight pieces kinda bother me. I understand why they made them straight since they plug into the side but is doesn't look right having those long pieces like that. Too bad they couldn't add another hinge in there to round things off a little bit.

That Acoustic Wave is still up for Pre-order and so is Chomp, not to mention there Perceptor. I believe the FT-40A will come back in stock at a higher price. Would love to hear your thoughts! I'm good. Not a big enough deal to swap out. I'm workin on the PPL-01 model kit and so far it's impressive

@@tydiriumhanger1320 oh uh well last night i did a leg and considering snipping all the sprue flashing carefully, I'd say that took 30 mins maybe 45 so. I'm gonna work on it some more later. I was impressed at how much articulation it had for just a few pieces.

I'm still waiting for my 01Studio Cell Unicron to arrive and I didn't know it already has an upgrade kit. Primacon may approve this.

In my opinion it isn't worth the money, I'm not about to spend enough money to buy a new NA or MS legends TF action figure just so I can have a bigger ring on my Unicron who's never even going to be displayed in planet mode. I Know the ring can be used in bot mode but it's a different color and isn't much of an upgrade. Thanks for the review and comparison Tydirium.

Good for robot mode, useless for planet mode since the stand gets in the way

I felt all the detail parts falling off the first time was enough damage but the planet mode is about 8% of the haslab so I will never see it again

Be that as it may, it’s still the reviewer’s responsibility to display this accessory in both modes to fully inform viewers of its benefit. That’s the whole point of a review. You can’t just feature the robot mode and shrug off the planet mode simply because you can’t be arsed with it. That’s exactly the kind of half-baked involvement that causes fans to malign this figure. FYI, I’ve transformed this several times and I can do it with the rings on and nothing falls off. It’s great! So like I said, thumbs down for your lazy effort with this.

While you’re at it, please make a video about the myth of critical openness when in fact reviewers like yourself refuse to take it to heart and just mock it. If you really can’t distinguish between creating a video to inform others and creating one according to what YOU want to do with a figure, you shouldn’t be making ‘reviews’ at all. I know I won’t bother with them any more.
