I started this today outside as my garage is full....48 degrees here today....feels warm. The screws in the back that hold down the valve cover that are hidden are a pain in the A**. While trying to get the rear middle screw off my E10 socket came off.....and since we have a nice shield on the bottom undertray......it wont fall all the way out. I will need to buy another one and try to finish tomorrow. Marty is sooooo correct. The plastic connectors that are used by BMW are shitty. After a few heat cycles that's it they will break. If you don't break them.......you are doing really well.

@@Marty09933 Well Marty, It is Mark by the way I thought when I was done I still had a small leak.........so I waited till this morning as it was supposed to be nice and what I did was to just remove the intake tube and I went over each bolt that holds down the valve cover and the back 3 were just a bit loose and since that is the tilt of the motor that is where it will leak. Problem solved.......now it did take a bit before all the oil burned off from the leak. Glad it was done and am finished. Thanks for the help.

@@F10_Jaber yes on each side you should have like two little screws that hold that bracket down you have to move the wires and hoses around to gain access to them check out my video on SPARK PLUGS 2011 BMW 535i &CRANK CASE VENT HOSE on my channel it’s at 5:45 mark on the video

Crazy complicated. A small block Chevy has like 6 bolts for the valve cover.

Hi Marty, Excellent video. I just replaced all injectors and spark plugs due to rough idle. I feel the struggle with the difficult steps. (ie the bolt at the back of the valve cover. Finally after much patience got it snug enough, I hope. My question is with regards to the 2 vacuum hoses at the right of the valve cover (30:17 in your video). I noticed you have a plug in the back one and connected the hose to the front one. My front one has a 3-4" piece of hose attached and the other hose went to the back one( with a braided overlay). Is the shorter piece supposed to be a plug and was it hooked up wrong in the first place? Another video I watched had a plug in the back one as well. Thanks for any info.

Hi suppadoop yes it’s still sitting in my lot with a locked up motor. The oil pick up tube was plugged up and it wasn’t delivering oil to the top of the engine. Yeah I love BMW they’re beautiful cars, but they’re a piece of shit too I did more videos with that car than any other car that I’ve owned I’m back with the Dodge Challenger 2010 6.1 easier to work on more reliable,bmw to much trouble.
