She was so emotional, for some reason. 왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데 어제 거기에 사람이 많이 있었어. there were many people, for some reason. 왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데 걔 오늘 엄청 아침 일찍 출발했어. she left way too early this morning, for some reason. 걔 오늘 누군가를 데리러 기차역에 가야한대. She has to pick up someone at the train statin. 나 오늘 이른 오후에 공원에 갔었어. 왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데, 돌아오는길에 물병을 공원에 들고 왔다는 걸 완전히 잊었었어. I went to the park early this afternoon. on my way back, i totally forgot that i brought my bottle to the park. for some reason. 왠지 단게 먹고싶어. I wanna eat something sweet, For some reason. 왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데 거기는 보통 6시까지 문을 여는데, 오늘은 4시에 문을 닫았어. Normally, they open until 6 o’clock but they closed at 4 today. For some reason. 우리는 거기에 3시까지 가기로 되어있어. We are supposed to be there by 3 o’clock. 왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데, 우리 너무 일찍 출발해서 3시까지 가기로 했는데 2시쯤에 도착했어. We left way too early for some reason, so we were supposed to be there by 3 o’clock but we were there at around 2.

질문1. for some reason은 왜 reasons가 아닌가요? 몇 개의 특정한 이유들을 언급하려는게 아니라 그런건가요? 2. "왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데 ~했었어." 라고 우리말로 누군가가 말한다면 "그 이유가 뭐였는데?"하고 물어보는게 굉장히 어색하잖아요. 모르겠다고 말해놨는데.. for some reason도 "왜 그랬는지 모르겠는데", "왠지" 등으로 번역된다면 "what were the reasons?" 혹은 "what was the reason?"하고 물어보면 어색하게 느껴지나요? 알려주세요~~
