This is interesting, I came across this because I need to add power to sections for an N scale T-Trak module and apparently I bought "Terminal Joiners," so they don't have the plastic on them. Kato has so much stuff, so many accessories for everything, it's frustrating to find what you need. I really just wish I could have normal rails that I could solder power to the rails. Ahhhh! I think Kato makes special wires where you don't need to do any extra wiring. Just plugging in stuff. Anyways, thanks for sharing!

Kato does have plug in stuff. I didn't have things to plug into, thus my soldering and connecting to junction spots under the layout. Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. Hope you find what you need.

thank you for this video! I am getting back into model trains after 40 years. Connecting my Kato track and power has been one of my biggest questions!

All you would need for that particular layout is a power feed in each corner. I had a layout like that in 1955 and it had only power drops in the corners and the trains never slowed down at all. Power needs to be every 6 to 8 feet...

Thank you. I ended up with a power feeder to each corner on the Kato Unitrack. I've started working on laying track and wiring the switch yard and inner loop. So I have blocks of power to wire plus the feeders. Thanks for sharing your insight. Hope to see you on future videos.
