@mrquick6775 Жыл бұрын
@@CribNotes first answer: 1. All the ones that you’re not!! 2. Second Answer: He didn’t need to be one 3. Finally, You demonstrate that you really don’t comprehend how Prince operates. It wasn’t that Prince could out play EVERYBODY🤔.. NO!!! It’s the fact that the sum total of his output was/is greater than any single part. Even a single part replaced by a virtuoso on THAT particular instrument. His genius lies in how HE could put x amount of these sounds, progressions, Melodie’s and instruments together. To make it GREATER than the whole. He could do more with each instrument in tandem than a single musician could on that one instrument alone. Go listen to his first album “FOR YOU”where he demonstrates his incredible grasp of relative pitch; voices and voicing single notes to make a chord. But vocally. I don’t care what anyone says there’s still nothing out there that can match the opening vocal “SYMPATHY” of his voice! I’ll put it like this I’ve been playing almost since I was born. And I’m a piano virtuoso!! There is no way he’d outplay me on piano. I play bass, drums, and guitar as well. He’d demolish me on those but definitely NOT piano. You should feel proud to even have lived in a time period where you could be blessed to have witnessed probably the single most talented genius musician that has EVER LIVED. Finally, EVERYBODY that has played with him has said that he could out play them even in there own instrument. The only exception is Blackwell, and Michael bland. Put it like this, if you weren’t a virtuoso then you’d be in trouble in a cutting contest. He was definitely a guitar virtuoso. A great bass player, a very good piano player and a decent drummer. And again he was a symphony unto hisself!

@BerkSonmez694 жыл бұрын
Keith Timmins he is indeed a lock for top 5-10 guitarists no doubt, but I respectfully disagree with your claim that he’s one of the top 5 best pianists ever. Simply put, even trying to compare him to the likes of Rahmaninov and Lizst is disrespectful. But this doesn’t in any way take away from his stellar playing even on piano, he’s simply a virtuozo and a musical genius.
@maulanasatyaadigama34084 жыл бұрын
berk sönmez yes right, but I don’t think nowadays you can get a pianist like Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart etc. I think it’s fair to compare to the 19s
@piijay144 жыл бұрын
@@maulanasatyaadigama3408 You're referring to a difference in 'Genre. I'm sure if Beethoven(whom was half black) had live just 100 years later he might've been influenced/taken up Ragtime/Blues cuz that was the sound of that era. Especially considering Scott Joplin died almost exactly 100yrs after Beethoven. Vice Versa: if Joplin had lived a century earlier his sound/style might've been more Eurocentric than Afro-Centric as 'Ragtime' is! I'd say neither is more gifted than the other...just different eras different continents.

Than I went to the 1999 world tour PURPLE RAIN long before the storm of fairweather friends that came out to his raising 🌠star🌟 I went to each and every show in my city. Sadly I wish I could have seen him during the DIRTY MIND ALBUM era it was at a venue on 30 minutes from my home. I was about 11 or 12yrs old at the time. I went to see Michael Jackson "OFF THE WALL" and LTD around this particular era. I was truly blessed to have witnessed such great live performances like RICK JAMES "Fire It Up" tour later his "FIRE and DESIRE" tour with TINA MARIE. LUTHER VANDROSS and ANITA BAKER also others. PRINCE ROGERS NELSON became my favorite so I always wanted patiently for information about him touring the New Orleans area. ☔PRINCE🌌 father was a Lousiana native🔮
