When I started 7rh grade, we were able to take wood shop and started out using hand tools. I kept taking that course till I graduated and for the most part only used power tools for large cuts and holes.

I think it is not that just everyone only want to use power tools. Most of the time, it is just the economical factor that makes us use powertools. Best thing is to get a balance to use them both in a way that what ever you are making is still affordable for customers. Great uploads Stavros!!

Please sir, if you are not going to speak during your videosand are only going to write on the wood that you are working on, would you please write Bolder and leave on screen longer. The accuracy you worked to while planing the blank at the start was ASTONISHING!! 29.38mm on both ends of one face, and 34.77-34.76mm on the other face....... I doubt any machine could keep tolerances that close..... I love watchin you work Sir!! :)

Curious, the black inserts on the ends... why not make them full thickness like a dovetail instead of an inlay?

Nice winding sticks but curious why you cut the contrast pieces at the bevel or angles instead of squared off ? Was it just for looks or to correct some the optical differences one sees due to the distance the sticks are apart ?

Thanks! During the glueing square inserts can move up a little bit. Shape that i use makes it impossible.

The grain looks like oak. I've never seen spalted oak however and have never heard of mandioquiera. Looks nice though.

you check for twist in the board with them, place one on either end and sight down the length, exaggerates the twist :) go to paul sellers channel hes has a great video on them and explains in detail how to use it.
